I paid 13.99 for this. A regular carded figure:

And now you have to pay 19.99 for this. A "deluxe" figure? And Joe himself said that the price is up to the stores, so the price could very well be even higher than that. No thanks.

How much were you paying for gas in 2000whatever, when that figure came out? I'm betting it wasn't $4.. and I'm sure McFarlane didn't have to pay royalties to a multi billion dollar company for rights to make that Clown figure.. I understand what you're saying.. but times have changed, and they're gonna keep changing.. if you can't deal with it, I'd advise you to get out now(if you haven't already)...

Everything's getting smaller and costing more, next time you go to the grocery store, check out the size of cereal, bag of chips, anything really, if it's not getting smaller, it's going up in price, I've said it before and I'll say it again.. we don't live in the $5 toy age anymore, heck, even small GI Joes and Star Wars are up near $8 a figure... remember those things? remember back in 2000-ish.... they were around $4, or you could get a GI Joe 2-pack for $6... now you can't get one figure for that much...

If you can't get it, I just don't know what to tell ya...

me? no, I deal with all the bills here at the Rhyno household and notice when groceries used to be $100 and last a week or so and are now $200 and barely last a week, and when we're paying over $100 a week on gas, and now 90% of the stuff we buy are store brand items cause the cheet's getting too damn expensive.

i am glad someone else has picked up on what I said before. you are getting a standard figure for an increased price, and most people won't realize it because they have been deluded into thinking the halo stuff is now standard. well, technically it IS now standard I suppose. But I like how they try to make you think these new statues (which is exactly the figure we would have gotten before the shrinkage) are something new and deserving of the increased price tag.

but i will say this, this big bad boy is probably worth the price increase. The other two? no way in spawn's hell (who's that again??) but hey, what can you do?

- in scale Hunter statue...Come on guys it's posible...it'd be a plastic statue at 10 - 12 Inches... No moving parts means less molds -> less money to produce.

I always love it when I find two figures that work together (even if it's not intended). Scavenger Dragon 1/ Fire Dragon 4 and Eternal Dragons 1 and two are great examples.

I have been an avid collector of spawn figures, with almost all spawn, horror, fantasy figure McFarlane ever produced in my collection. Lately however, the only things that seem to be produced are either sports figures or halo figures. I used to check this site daily, currently i check it less than weekly, as i have gotten used to not getting any info on 'my-style' new figures.

Anyhow, I just wanted to state here that I find it hard that my once-so-cherised brand of collectibles no longer produces anything i would remotely want to buy.

On a positive side: my current mood regarding my mcfarlane collection is in such bad shape that i will most probably sell all my stuff on ebay in the near future, so you might get a bargain soon.

And yes i did not post much on this board (for those just thinking i don't care) but i spent oodles of cash on my collection, so it is kind of disappointing to have to come to this

It's sad to say, but since Halo is doing SO well, and selling out almost everywhere, it's a money making business, and they are most likely going to make more of, 'what makes money' aka Halo.

How the hell could you not like Weta's Cortana statue. That thing is so badass it makes me weep like a little school girl. I'm getting all the Weta statues and they will have a detolf dedicated to them.

Sorry... But yeesh. She reminds me of something reborn out of the pods from the 70's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" movie. Not very attractive at all. Unless the picture doesn't do it justice (which it sure doesn't), I'm very disappointed in Weta's representation of her.

The only Weta statue I'll be buying is Arby & the Chief. The rest..... Meh.
