wrote it last night... what do you guys think?

early in my life i had plenty of joys
but since we were poor, never had too many toys//
had to settle for Happy Meals 'till i got bigger
then i was happy enough with some bootleg action figures//
flash forward to 9-11- twenty-oh-one
i matured in many ways, still wanted to have fun//
got into videogames as i explain in another song
but this was just months before Spider-Man one//
grand opening: the Grove out on Fairfax and 3rd
they had an F.A.O Schwartz, it's like my prayers was heard//
a whole section dedicated to figures Toy Biz was making
i knew that when i left at least one toy i'd be taking//
6-inch figure with accessory and full poseability
it was perfect, if you owned it then you feelin' me//
it went from play time, to hobby, and then to investments
since then, action figures have become my obsession//

i couldn't have Spider-Man without a villain
so i got a Green Goblin to terrorize and do some killin'//
with every Marvel movie that followed thereafter
i got the figure too, long as the likeness was captured//
and then i discovered toys by Todd McFarlane
playtime was over and the collecting started//
My cousin collected too so i wasn't alone
kinda discouraged by the fact that we were getting old//
but we didn't care... we'd still expand our collections
stopped playing when toys stopped having articulation//
it was like winning the lottery when we'd haul a grail
walk into K*B Toys and see it standing right there//
keep it in it's packaging and give it plenty of care
but once in a while, you can't just leave it and stare//
you open it carefully, close your eyes and inhale
cuz nothing in this world is better than a new-toy-smell//

now it's online everyday,"which toys are coming soon?"
"and how the hell am i gunna fit that in my room?"//
figures based on movies, television, games, and music
goin' to conventions just to get the exclusives//
or maxing out the credit card on an internet purchase
three figures FOR a figure, wonder if it's really worth it//
McFarlane still taking my money, Toy Biz is out
Mattel and Hasbro at the top without a doubt//
in recent years i'll admit i been losin' my head though
cuz of the products coming out from NECA and Mezco//
the Japanese imports have proven very impressive
i'd by Sideshow Collectibles but they're too expensive//
i remember Kenner figures, i remember ReSaurus
although SOTA's Street Fighter toys turned out to be flawless//
a shout-out to all the men that keep on collecting toys
proving that action figures aren't just for little boys//
