Which NFL game this weekend will be hailed the “Game of the Week?” I think it’s going to end up being the Redskins vs. Cowboys. Any other thoughts or predictions for Week 4?

Here is Gordie Howe from NHL Legends Series 7! Howe makes his second appearance in the Legends line.

LIONS WIN THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They finally got rid of Matt Millen...........and I think that is their best win in the past 8 years :D

;) Brett looked great this week. It was nice that he was able to display his cobwebs on national T.V.

Brett had a poor game, no question there. He made to many bad reads early in the game, and threw a lot of balls that should have (some were) picked off. Its obvious that the timing isnt there with his new group of receivers, and its obvious that Favre isnt fully comfortable in the system he is playing within in right now. He has a lot to learn.

The trade for Favre really overshadowed that this was a 4-12 team last year. They have a lot of area's that need improving, and not just at the QB spot. They tried to address a lot of the problems by spending money, but money doesnt always buy results.

This team has a lot of expectations. The trade for Favre, the money spent in the off-season, the fact the Giants won the SB last year............all this in one season. All this makes these expectations magnified, and I really think this is a team that unless they reach the post season, this will be a disappointing season in the eyes of the fans.

However, I did look at the upcoming schedule for the Jets, and while I dont like saying "easy schedule".....it is one of the most favorable schedules of any team in the NFL. They are going to be playing teams such as the Raiders, Chiefs, Cardinals, and Bengals........we could easily be looking at a 4-3 team after week 8 if they take advantage of their schedule.

You're exactly right. I think they have the talent to be at least 8-8 though with the key additions they made, but they definitely have a little ways to go before being considered true contenders. You definitely have great sports insight and it's always a pleasure to read.

By the way, I'm just busting your and Stings chops about Favre because he's a tool ;):p

Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy sports, wether it be playing, talking, watching or collecting, it is truly my obsession. Feels like I am writing a book everytime I post about sports :D :D :D

Regardless of if Favre is a tool, he is argueable the best QB to ever play the game, but he is definately in the same breath. I do think him choosing to come back only to get traded to the Jets will be a bust. It is very hard for any QB to pick up a teams system, especially when they spent 17 years in another system that has completely different language. Could Favre help them win? Absolutely. I fully believe that Favre at 39 is still a lot better than a lot of QB's at 25. However, Favre doesnt have the time to grow into the system. I really believe this is his last year....but then again, thats what I thought when he retired :D

I really expect to see Favre retiring at the end of the season, and signing a marketing deal with the Green Bay Packers.
