Depends. I'll open the first ones I buy. If I get doubles I'll keep them in package for trade or bragging rights. Every once in a while if a figure is worth alot though I'll keep it in, in case I wanna sell it later, but mainly for bragging rights.

i open all the figures :) i don't really like to buy it to leave it in the package, cause i pose them :cough:and play with them:cough: XD but i don't mind to keep MOC some multiples

I was an MOCer for so long, I have the first 5 Spawn series moc in storage, but it all ends up being boxed and packed away, wasted.

Both, ive opened all except two of my figures (the SDCC exclusive spartans, they tempt me everyday to open them though...) but mainly i open them, certain things in the future will probably remain closed though.

I'm both. More of a loose collector but some things I prefer in the package because they just appeal to me more that way. I take the cc Hanging Spawn for example. I'd love to get another one to hang off a shelf or something but I also prefer the look of him in the package.

Out of the several hundred figs I have I would say about 20 of them are still MOC. The rest are opened and that is the way I prefer it.

I do both, it depends on the toyline. The new transformers stuff I open, but stuff like GI Joe I keep it on card, because it looks beautiful like that. I guess when you get to a point where you no longer have any room to display stuff, you need to start opening stuff up, which is what I did :)

I guess I just like displaying things still in package cause to me it looks better that way. I mainly stay MOC, If I do open anything it is mostly due to it being articulated and I can display it in many different ways. It takes something I know I wont be disappointed with before I open it.

95% of my collection is MOC. The only items that I usually open are the large scale figures (they can always be placed back into their boxes). Carded or clamshell pieces I usually do not open.

why would you by a beautifull looking awesome toy and not open it. It doesn't make any sense.

The only positive thing with keeping toys MOC I can think off in contrast with opening toys is that your toys won't get covered with dust.

I only keep stuff in packaging for storage purposes. I have more figures than I have room to display currently. I intend to open just about everythng at some point but then agian tumbles and breaks make me reluctant about some pieces.

I collect a lot of DCD stuff, so they are already preposed and look great in their package. Anything that holds a lot of personal or dollar value to I keep carded as well.
