Roger Clemens Series 3 Surprise Sox Jersey Misprint!?!?

I recently just bought this figure and for anyone who collects the MLB Series' or like me just collects all Red Sox figures knows how hard it is to find one of these. But while looking at it the figure WAS a series 3 surprise figure in a Sox uniform. On the front of the packaging it says Series 3 but on the back it has all of the figures from series 2 and says series 2 on the back.. did I get an even more rare misprint that I have heard NOTHING about? If anyone at all could help me out or pour in a little insight that would be great. Thanks

But to answer your question; the Red Sox Clemens was a surprise repaint of the series 2 Yankees Clemens inserted into series 3 cases. Likewise, a Mariners Ken Griffey , Jr. (repaint of series 2 Reds Griffey, Jr.) was also available in Series 3 cases.

They were somewhat difficult to find at retail after scalpers caught on in spite of their absence on the packaging.
