16 Halo Armor permutations x 1,000,000 colors

Just a thought.

Why are the Halo 3 Multi-player figure's colors so inconsistent?
I mean, sure...that's marketing, but when I look at my collection...well....they look like skittles. Doesn't that bother you guys too? :(

I'm all for different colors/exclusives/etc, but I would like to at least have all the armor permutations in 1 standard color too. The only option I see it to repaint them.
Same goes for the 12" scale helmets.

Mcf only has a handful of 12" bodies (with regard to color), but releases helmets that would make the figure look like Rainbow Bright. I don't get it.

Does anyone else feel the way I do?

I had the same thought about the 12" helmets. Why would someone want to put an orange helmet on a blue, green, or brown body?

It won't affect me at all because I won't be buying any halo, but the thought crossed my mind.

The helmets are not going to include the armor I think, the helmets are purely for display purposes and just have an added bonus of working on the figures. If you think about it like that it makes much more sense.

In any case, I can almost guaruntee you you're going to see almost all of the figures in both Red and Blue, and the other colors are just extras so that people who want their specific permutation will have a better chance of getting it. Like me for example-I use a Steel and Green Security armor, and look what's coming out next wave :)

personally, I have enough of the 6 inch figures that collecting the 12 inch seems like a waste of time space and money... Macfarlene's marketing branch needs to learn that oversaturation can lead to apathy... At the moment there are too many halo figures to take seriously (I have almost all of the 6 inch series 1-3, but it's taken so much effort, and the other collections just make me cringe.. almost to the point that I don't want to collect the 6 inches any more). The more crap that gets thrown our way, the more insignificant each individual piece will be, and hence the willingness to collect piece by piece is diminished..

I've been thinking about this too. Since my favorite colors are red and black, it would be ncie to have a black hayabusa, along with the red one, so I could switch the helmet and sholder armor around. I guess the hellspartan if a good stand-in for it though, but I'm not too happy with the "SOLD AS-IS" tag on it.

And Master Chief is green. It's his signature color. You will not see another Spartan, no matter helmet, chest, designation, or armor type in green except MC himself.

But it's not supposed to be a "blue" multiplayer Elite.. but a blue campaign one silly.. the TRU/WM Bloue Elite is the multiplayer color.

Yeah, that might be one of the few "true" multiplayer figures I buy dupes of that isn't a Steel Spartan just for the weapon, though I know that there will be plenty more chances to get it down the line.

If you guys haven't noticed, all of my army builders are campaign aside from the "multiplayer" Elite

10 ODST's
8 Grunts
6 Drones
6 Elites
3 Stalkers (1 AC)

I'm not even army building the Elites. Yet anyway. I'm just army building campeign figures. Using the regular blue as N'tho Sraom, and the rest I will prolly only buy 1 of as well. Start an Elite display like my Spartan Display eventually. I'ma need to move those Slurpie cups...

3x Flood Combat and I'll be getting 3 of the Pure Form Stalkers.

If they do Tanks I'll buy 1, maybe 2 but the ranged I might only get 1 of, if that. I hate the ranged.

If they do a Brute Combat form, I'll get 2 and if they do an Elite Combat form I'll get 3 and pick up another Human Combat form

look on ebay for "clear acrylic jewelry" displays.. some of those can work for figures.

I need money before I look at anything. But I got alot of ideas now. How big are those? Huge? Or something that hangs on a wall? I wanna try and keep the Slurpie cups in there, make it like a dual layer display instead of 2 different shelves, kinda like I have it, a raised backround up so I only have 2 rows of figures on each layer.
