Well today I received the crown jewel of my collection. This thing is fuggin amazing. This is probably the last haul I'll have for a long time, because this piece set me back quite a bit.

I will not claim it as a "grail" because a true "grail" is unattainable. That's what makes it a grail. I've seen that term slung freely around lately and I think it devalues the meaning.

While not as large as I thought it would be, it is still very massive and by far the largest statue I own. Please pay no mind to the shoddy looking walls in the background. I'm in the process of renovating this particular room to be my office/collection room. I've had to scrape about 7 layers of wallpaper and paint off of horse-hair plaster and, at the moment, it looks like ass.

Oh and the spartan is nice too, just not AS nice. Not even close.

Out-freaking-standing! Love that piece. Congrats on the major, major addition. My wife just said it's really cool, but she'd hate to have it around because it'd freak her out too much :D

Retail (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=2910) was $899 before Sideshow sold out. I paid quite a bit more than that, but not as much as what it goes for on feebay.
