View Full Version : Bring back 4" Monster packs...

You know, the 4" two-packs/playsets that were so badass. I know people have talked about this before, but with the current move toward smaller figures, and the complete lack of in-house lines right now, I think doing a new line like this could be a really big deal.
And I think most people would be more than willing to deal with a price tag in the $20-25 range for something like this.
Just a thought.

It would. With lever-activated boobie traps, and some kind of mechanism where slime and/or goo pours down on your figures. And a little chamber you put Bruce Wayne into, and then you spin it around, and Dracula comes out. Or...waitaminute...

I know. But I thought it kinda made sense, what with all of our figures shrinking anyhow.

One of McF's coolest non-Spawn lines ever!
I'd love to see more of these made............
a few sets based on '50s horror/sci fi movies would be real cool!

They totally should do a 4 inch Spawn line.
Especially if it has as much articulation as the halo stuff. And I would love a Spawn alley playset to go with those.

Wouldn't work.
The decrease in size is because of the rise of oil prices. Sure, they make figures that size now, but you would be paying way more than $20 a pop if you wanted the playsets.

you're damned right I would. I've already gotten my Spartans all kinds of other stuff from new guns, to bling to motorcycles to ponies so I'd be down for a playset ;)

Yup. I'm thinking that, since McF isn't doing anything I want right now, maybe I'll try to track all these down.

I think McFarlane should totally revisit some of these original designs. They could produce in low numbers like specailty store exclusives, or even just spawn store exclusives. I think it would definitely keep alot of interest from old school fans and more importantly keep the "attitude".
Let's see some "R3 MONSTERS SETS" or a "MONSTERS REBORN" line

I'd like to see McFarlane take another crack at 4" articulated Monsters sets.
They'd be cool to display with the new 4" Hellboy figures that just came out...

The coolest things about those were that they were in scale with all the 3 3/4" figures, which includes G.I. Joes and Star Wars figures. McFarlane also made Spawn movie playsets. I used to have big battles with Violator and Luke Skywalker.

I've said it before and I say it again, those monster sculpts were truly superb.
I'd LOVE to see the sea creature blown up to 10" or 12" rotocast in softer vinyl plastic like the ben 10 epic alien toys.
If it works, then blow up the hatchetman from hunchback, then dracula, wolfmang, frankenstein...
While all toys are shrinking, BIG would be supreme...
