I like Ben and I probably would agree that he is the best overall QB in the league right now (with Brady out and Manning being subpar). Brees is right behind him though (minus a ring).

Big Ben is a heck of a compettitor and a very gifted and smart QB. He is definitely in the top 5 in the league. I would only put him behind Brady, Manning and maybe Brees right now.

Why isnt it close? Both have Superbowl ring. Big Ben won his with a running game and great defense.
Eli won his with a great defense but the offense went through him and he put points on the board with his arm. Especially down the stretch.

I guess you could say the same for Big Ben in Palmers knee wasn't Kimo'd or if Harper ran that fumble for a TD or vanderjact made that FG.
Big Ben is a great qb, no question but Eli's not that far off and looks to be turning the corner on being a great qb

I agree completely, I would take Ben over everyone but Brady and Peyton right now. And about Eli's ring had it not been for the rest of the team Ben wouldn't have his ring either since he sucked in that Super Bowl.

Eli is either better than his brother, or couldnt start for most teams. Nobody seems to put him in the middle of the pack, which is where I think he is. He did a nice job last year, but he did have alot of help by his line and his receivers.

Leadership isn't a stat, nor is it comparable. And I surely don't have to list QBs that have won Super Bowls for you to get the picture of how important that one is.

Yeah. My NY Giants bias aside, but when the game was tied at 14 and it was late in the 4th quarter, Eli led his team on a scoring drive against (statistically) the #1 Defense in the league.
Down a TD, with the game on the line, Ben folded like a cheap suit on 4 straight plays, 2 possesions in a row.
Judging the talent of one player in the game of football is so tough, because it's such a team sport.
You put either of those guys on Oakland, and they'd have terrible numbers.

Great QB who needs to learn to throw the ball sooner. I know that he likes to hold the ball and wait for something down the field, but it does cost him and puts additional pressure on an offensive line that is not really doing well right now. He is great though.

I love how everyone in the thread is compring QBs by the stats when the NFL compares them by WINS.
If you compare the Big Ben and Eli from 2004 till today, Big Ben has won 5 more games than Eli Manning. I think its safe determination that the two QBs are pretty much even right now at this point in their careers.
