How many times did I use these things over the years? Never in my wildest dreams did I think anybody would consider paying this much.... for something so meaningless..

There's a sucker born every minute...

it's just an impulsive buy, right not people are just bombarded with messages about the opportunity to own a piece of Shea history blah blah blah and they get excited and want to get it to show off to their neighbors
in a couple of months you'll probably see this on Ebay after this buyer realizes it's just not worth anything sitting on a table or something

I dont know Quiggle, can somebody possibly think think that a condiment dispenser is special and might be of value?? I guess there are several people out there... in the same auction, somebody bid on a sign that says "Family bathroom".....
You can get damn near everything from Shea stadium.. complete or partial dugouts, HELL, they'll even cut the foul pole in half, deliver it to your door and reassemble it right there..

For the wealthy collector those would be cool but...
did you read this stupid list?
Bib rack, large fan, white board, welcome mat, salad plate, etc.
They're selling all the crap they can possibly find. How long is this auction going to take?

Andy the possibilities are endless, who knows maybe some guy was taking out a ketchup and some girl was taking out the mustard and they locked eyes and fell in love and they got married so this would serve as some sentimental value.

How could you even prove any of that crap was from the stadium anyway. I am sure they give you a letter to go with it but a welcome mat or a salad plate... UGH.

Andy, if you will be so kind to take a gander at this thread, you will see another collector also picked up this condiment dispenser among other things!

I can't talk. What ever I can afford from Yankee Stadium when they tear it down, I'm getting. I'd even take a brick from Shea. The Jets did play there after all.
