With the talk of cable prices possibly going up earlier today I started thinking about what my other options were. I've done a little research on FTA HD signals but since I don't have an HDTV currently I figured that was a waste of time. Then I remembered there's also FTA satellite.
My question to you guys is does anyone in southern Ontario (GTA) have FTA satellite? If so can you direct me to some good resources for channel listings & hardware? Currently I download most of the network shows I watch so I really only need tv for Discovery, HGTV & hockey (CBC, TSN & Sportsnet).

most people i know go with viewsat and, depending on satellite position, can get bell channels, dishnet, etc etc

My buddy has Sonicview and love's it...My bubby at work hooked it up for him and
I he has both Dish and Bell... I was going to get one but rumor is they are going to take a big hit and they may have troubles getting them back up...or you may need new receivers so I put that on hold to see what is going to happen..I heard this is going to take place sometime in the New Year...not an expert in these areas but that's what I heard

The new cards are being used now and bell changed to Nagra-3 Bev/Dish.Stay clear for now and let the hackers do there thing. The time line for this to happen could be a week or a year before they crack it.

I would not say stay clear as Nfusion is Emulating N3 NFL on BEV
