Portis is going to play, Samuels should be back as well.
Jason Taylor and Shawn Springs wont play..As of yesterday Santana Moss still has a sore hamstring, I didn't hear a report today about him but I would assume that Moss will play.

I rooting for the Steelers obviously but I think the Skins find a way to win. They have been playing to the level of their opponents lately so I expect a strong effort by Washington.

Since the 1948 there as only been one election that was wrong. Although it happened to be the last one that was wrong.
I think it was that if the Redskins won the Incumbents party wins and if they lose the other party wins. Although I am not sure it might have been Republican and democrat.

Yeah, I know it sounds stupid to say right now but the Redskins need to destroy somebody for me to be completely sold on them as a Super Bowl contender.
Also, please can we keep poltics out of this, I'm begging you.

I want to see the steelers injury report first. It seems like their entire current roster is second string or worse.
And if it means the reps will win the election if the Redskins win, this is the only game i'll ever root against the Steelers for. jk
Steelers OLine has been horrible the couple times I saw them

So far we're doing alright on the injury part..Jason Taylor and Shawn Springs wont play, but we won without them a couple games this season already..It would be nice to have them playing though.
The biggest injury though is Santana Moss, he is a gametime decision..We really need Moss to play, that would be a big loss if he didn't.
GOSKINS_08
11-01-2008, 06:23 PM
Well actually Chris Samuels is questionable now after earlier in the week he was suppose to play..That would be a big loss too.

Anybody know what is going on with T.Polamalu?
Posted by Mike Florio on November 1, 2008, 7:45 p.m.
With the Friday arrival of Paisos Polamalu, who likely hurled himself head first down the birth canal with reckless abandon and a shock of hair already long enough to wipe his own rear end, his father will be able to show up for work on Monday night at FedEx Field in Maryland.
Troy Polamalu missed practice on Friday for the arrival of his son.
Running back Willie Parker also is expected to play in his first game since September 21. He has missed several weeks with a knee injury.

I cant wait to go to the game tomorrow night!
This should be a very good game, the leagues leading rusher(Portis) vs the leagues #1 rush defense..That will probably be the key matchup, if we can run the ball and Portis has a good game, we should win..My prediction
Redskins- 16
steelers- 13

Redskins 21, Steelers 10--The Steelers will continue to have issues with their running game and the 'Skins defense harrasses Big Ben all night. Are you kidding? Moore has stepped in as the third stringer and has been putting up rushing numbers like a starter and he does so much more then that. The running game isn't the issue. The line needs to give ben a chance to get rid of the ball and when Ben has time to get rid of the ball he needs to get rid of it. Just like many other great QB's he tries to do too much and hangs on too long sometimes.
The health of the defense will be the story of tonight's game. I don't klnow how many D starters will be playig tonight but if the defense shows up the steelers will win this game.

This is typical Redskins, just cant trust them. Had enough chances, should be up a couple scores, but some of you are ok with losing this game anyway. Making the playoffs and maybe winning a game is ok.

ugh what an awful showing. How can you expect the defense to keep it up when they are on the field the whole game. I felt like I was watching a Brunell led offense again.
I do feel this is a very different game if carlos rogers didnt have 2 stumps on the end of his arms, but who knows.
hopefully this lights a fire again.

Just got back from the game..We played like ****, our offense was bad, the offensive line was just plain horrible..Our defense was good, until the 2nd half when they were on the field for most of the half..Just a bad showing on national tv..Carlos Rogers is becoming and is a very good CB, but come on man, make the INT's..That was a pick 6 that would have gave us a 13-3 lead..There were also tons of steelers fans at the game, way too many..It was probably 60-40 Skins fans, but we need to have a bigger margin at our home stadium..Oh well, I'll still take 6-3 at the bye.
Good game steelers.

Real simple summary- theSteelers defense dominated the Redskins offensive line = game over. Big Ben looked terrible. It's probably a good thing he got hurt as it gave Byron a chance to come in and move the offense. Nice to see Pittsburgh finally beat a NFC East team. It looks like they will split their 4 games against the NFC East as they only have Dallas left on thier schedule which should be a mauling if they play like they did Monday night.

It definitely has affected his play. But a healthy Big Ben plays the whole game the way Letwitch played when he came in. Were just lucky the Steelers are good at finding very good back up QB's like Batch and Leftwitch.

Thanks and the same to you. A properly prepared team has a backup QB that can step in and play. The Redskins and Steelers have both proven that along with a lot of other teams. The teams that don't like Dallas use it as an excuse.

it always comes back to dallas with you, doesn't it? while i agree that the cowboys ignored the backup QB spot, i don't think anyone is using it as an excuse. this team wasn't clicking while romo was in there either...i think everyone could see that.

I think having a bigger lead changes things. The defense who was already playing very good for the skins keeps their intensity up longer. A big play like that changes the momentum bigtime and the complexion of the game.
I feel that Carlos' brick hands also cost the Redskins a playoff game in Seattle.

mikedanger,
Check back with me when Dallas comes to town in a little under two weeks. I'm looking forward to a good game. We have a lot of "warts" to fix or improve upon still as does Dallas. I'm sure we will have a lot of things to "discuss"
I don't mind pointing out the flaws as it relates to what Jerry Jones is responsible for like dumb trades, ill advised FA signings, poor choices for head coaches, and terrible back up QB signings among them. The rest of the stuff as it pertains to the team, I basically ignore outside of criminal activity the plyaers like to indulge in down there. He's made himself such a target for abuse by just being himself, it's hard not to point out his many mistakes.
Riddler
11-04-2008, 09:29 AM
The whole secondary and LB's have had bricks for hands for many years now. Supposedly, the coaches are very aware of it and work on catching the football with the defense players constantly. No noticeable improvement has been detected. It has cost the team bigtime in many games. I don't have any stats to back me up but I would guess we are one of the worst teams statistically in both interceptions and dropped interceptions.
