sure did...i'm dressed as luigi today and should have a picture up shortly. we decorate the whole office, have contests and games and also have a big cookout at lunch...we have fun here on halloween. we're even shutting it down early so everyone can go home and take theirs kids trick or treating tonight. :D

Everyone where I work is dressed up today. Halloween is a huge production at our HDQ. Most people start drinking at 8:00 am and all of the departments put on shows or haunted houses around the building. No work will get done today!

we have a panda bear and a cat...little red riding hood(my mom, so don't get any ideas) and my dad is the wolf...my brother is the burger king guy wearing a demarcus ware jersey...we have a mexican gangster in the warehouse(he really is mexican)...a twister game...and then i am luigi. we only have 10 people here and 8 are dressed up...our 10th employee doesn't get here until 11am so i'm not sure what she is yet.

So far I'm disappointed by the lack of participation this year...I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with the fact that most people take public transportation to work - and they don't want to be stared it. :rolleyes:

Nope. NYCDOE will only permit kindergarten and 1st grade students to wear costumes. The funny thing is, a few years ago, a HS student was sent home for wearing a costume. Her parents sued the DOE and they won as a public school is not permitted to deny a student an education due to dress code. So long as the clothing is not too revealing or suggestive. In that case, all they an do is give the student clothing to put over what the student is wearing. Our assistant prinicipals keep school t-shirts in their offices to give to girls (99% of the time) when needed.
