Yeah, I know, just what the board needs--another Halo thread. I've done a search, and I haven't found too much discussion of these fantastic figures. I'm a fan of the Halo figs in general, but the 12-inch versions are a whole new level of fantastic. I picked up the Toys R Us exclusive brown version on Friday, and I'm in love with the thing. Probably one of the coolest pieces of plastic I own. McFarlane really did a great job with this figure. The only thing I can really fault is the open-front packaging. Bad idea with accessories and grubby childfingers in the toy aisles.

I have the MC and I just ordered the TRU dude. I just need to find the blue WM dude, and I'm all set.

None of the Wal*Marts around here carries Halo. In fact, the toy selection at my nearest Wal*Mart has been steadily declining both in quality and quantity over the last few years.

Yeah I have to agree they are fantastic. I have all three so far. Lets hope we see more 12" Halo figures.

See HERE (http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86124) for my review of what I personally think is an extremely beautiful figure and an awesome value at $30!!

Also, if you pick up the Master Replicas 1:6 scale Halo weapons or the Kotobukiya 1:7 scale Halo statues (with accessories) these are about in scale with the McFarlane MC and can add some much-needed weaponry to the figure's arsenal - including the Battle Rifle, Covenant Carbine, Energy Sword, Brute Spikers, and Shotgun :D :D

I'm not a big fan of the brown Spartan - I really think they should have released a red Spartan first...or at least second...ESPECIALLY since the first three 1:6 scale helmets coming out - MARK VI, EOD, CQB - are ALL red...

I think they're best figures that McF has put out this decade to be honest

The 12" chief is actually the centerpiece of my H3 collection. Great figure!

Do yourself a favor and find the Master Replicas Halo weapons (the BR and the Carbine). They are just about perfect scale.

Mine is packed up right now because I'm moving so I'm anxious to unpack him and the rest of my collection. It's a great figure, I just don't like how the right hand turned out - the fingers are way too loose. But I do plan on finding a Battle Rifle or a Needler to keep him company on those long, cold nights.

The only thing I can really fault is the open-front packaging. Bad idea with accessories and grubby childfingers in the toy aisles.

I saw four blue Spartans at my local Wal-mart, and they were all missing the gun. Makes it difficult to sell the figure when it's missing pieces.

walmart is the epitome of crappy stores that could be so much better if the people that worked there (not all employees but most) werent worthless meat bags with blue aprons on. but the blue spartans are shweet!

In spite of the fact that poop is also brown, I quite like spartan armor in brown. It's very autumnal with the gold of the visor.

that actually looks quite sweet outside. its almost passable as a life size costume. if only the shoulders didnt look so solid it would look real. nice shots.
