i think it was on of the last gl comics before final crisis i think, i cant really remember.

I don't know the issue number, but it happens in the "Revenge of the Green Lanterns" trade paperback. The deal is Hal Jordan teams up with Batman to take down a villain he tracked to Gotham City, and at the end of the story he offers Batman a power ring. He tries it on and realizes that he can't trust himself with that much power. It was only a one or two page thing, but still pretty cool. Batman was also almost picked as a member of the Sinestro Corps (bad guys) because of his "ability to instill great fear", but the ring rejected him because of his exposure to the other power ring earlier.

The figure looks lame, but kinda cool concept.
Guess I dont care for DC characters that much to think about what ifs.

I kinda thought the whole deal with the Green Lanterns was that they "were completely without fear"

Batman doesn't just use fear as a weapon, he lives in fear.
(This is no insult to the Batman, I'm a huge Bat-fanboy, but his modus operandi just doesn't jive with a power ring.)

Batman gets picked by the sinestro corps in GL 17.
