I just scored this jersey. Couldn't be a better time with his retirement ceremony only about 2 weeks away. It is brand new, with all the tags. It is a Men's Large. I also plan on getting an Avalanche version from the same seller sometime.

That night there is an ACAC hockey game in town (LLB just got an ACAC team this year!) and it will be the last one until 2009, so I am torn between what to do. I could go to the game (proudly wearing this jersey of course) and record the retirement ceremony, or stay home and watch it live. I am leaning towards going to the game and recording it. That way I will still see the retirement ceremony, but I can still show my support for Roy around town.

That's pretty awesome Jar jar! I got a home Avs Roy jersey last summer. But I would never get a Habs Roy jersey :mad:

love it. roy is missing from my collection - but i really don't like the fit of those jerseys, so i'd never wear it anywhere.

should be an interesting ceremony seeing how they parted ways.

My buddy has seasons tickets to the Habs (he drives to Montreal from Ottawa every Saturday night to see them play! :eek:) so he is going to the Roy retirement game.

Looks cool, but it's actually the 2001-present style jerseys. :cool:

I looked at some pics from the early 90s of the Habs (Roy specifically) and the road red jersey looks the same as the one I bought. :confused:

How is that even possible?I don't mean as far as Canadiens, I mean NHL. The CCM tag is up on the neck, which they didn't do until 2000 actually. When Roy played there it would have been on the butt. If he doesn't care then hey it's a good deal for him, but I'm sort of a jersey nut and that's something that would personally bother me.

I bought a brand new ccm vintage 1993 Stanley Cup Patch home Roy jersey over the summer from some hockey product website, I forgot the name of the site, for $114 US shipped. Now that was a great deal!! The same jersey on nhl.com is selling for $160 before shipping.

I will be wearing it on Nov. 22 in the Bell Center to see St. Patrick get his jersey retired!!

I bought a 93 Stanley Cup Patch home Roy jersey over the summer from some hockey product website, I forgot the name of the site, for $114 US shipped. Now that was a great deal!!

Really? When I got mine I also got an 84 AS game Messier jersey, both new with tags came to about $225 WITH shipping...I'll see if I can find the seller I used

The Habs Roy jerseys are $139-$149, while his Avs Roy jerseys are about $165. They used to be the same price.

It was cheap and I think it will fit better over my big sweater as it is XL and not L. And this one had the CCM logo at the bottom and has the 1993 Stanley Cup patch. I just had to buy it. :o

Soooooo, the jersey you see pictured in the first post will be available as soon as this new one arrives. However, if interested you can let me know and we can discuss details in the meantime.

I actually just ordered a Roy Avs to be customized a couple weeks ago. Should have it in a week or two. I can't wait to get it.
