That looks like it would be very uncomfortable to hold because there is no gloss on it (or is there?)
I've wanted to paint my controller, how hard was it?
and good job :)

There's plenty of gloss and I used acrylic paints so No it's not sticky at all. It's a little weird to paint but I guess if you have the tool to open it up, it would be a lot easier. The cracks are hard to get and so is under the thumb sticks.
By the way, I started this before the black controllers were sold alone.

Tool to take it apart? You don't have a screwdriver?

Have you played with it yet to make sure that the paints don't run after a long night?

I used a sealer, that's why it's a bit shiney. It shouldn't run with a sealer and most acrylics don't run anyway.

Great attempt man, and I don't want to pss on your rainbow, but the paint is pretty rough looking. Not sure if you were trying to go for that gritty look, but you have a LOT of bleed through. You really should have gotten the tool to open it up to get a cleaner paint job.
But hey, if you dig it, then great! Touch ups are pretty impossible once you "seal" it.

well, I sanded it a bit to give it that damaged scrathed up look. I will get the tool to finish it off better but I did say I have some touching up to do. Actually a lot. But I wanted to just show my WIP.;)
