Does that put Texas Tech back in the BCS title game assuming they beat Baylor and Missouri? If not, then who? USC? They didnt win their conference. Penn St? Utah? You cant put Texas ahead of them when Texas didnt even make the conference title game. What if Tech loses to Missouri?

I would say Texas but you're right, last year they had LSU jump Georgia because they weren't in the conference championship. They can't put Texas in there after that.

It's hard to say. I would assume it would be the SEC winner vs. Tech/Utah. Possibly USC if Oregon State chokes.

In the end I don't think it matters. Get ready for the Oklahoma/Florida national championship.

It would lead to even more reason for a playoff.

if Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma, it would be TT vs. Missouri for the Big 12 championship...but neither team would be in the BCS title game. By virtue of what happened in the BCS in 2004, only conference champions can play in the BCS title game, so Texas could not be invited. If Oregon State wins against Oregon this weekend, that also knocks USC out of the BCS picture. It would probably be the SEC champ (assuming Florida and Alabama do not lose this weekend) against...Utah? Maybe Penn State, but thats a stretch. In all likelihood, it will OU vs. SEC champ. Its projected to be

Oklahoma vs. Florida/Alabama - BCS
USC vs. Texas - Fiesta
Utah vs. Florida/Alabama - Sugar
Cincinnati vs. Florida State - Orange
Penn State vs. Oregon State - Rose

I know its not going to happen and its a shame...with a playoff system we would see it...but I would love to see Florida vs USC. One of the best offensive teams in football vs One of the best (I think the best) defensive teams in football. These are the 2 most talented and in my opinion best 2 teams in college football.

The Big 12 south winner will be depend on how the BCS ranks them after this weekend. Right now Texas is ahead of both TT and Oklahoma and if it stays that way, you'll see Texas in the conference championship vs Missouri with the winner most likely go the the BCS championship game.

If Oklahoma wins, they will jump over Texas in the BCS standings regardless if Texas wins tonight.

I don't see a way TT would jump Texas and Oklahoma in the BCS standings.

If Oklahoma loses, that puts Texas and Tech in a 2 way tie. First tie breaker is head to head, which puts Tech in the conference championship game.
