Dont ever signup for an equifax account to get your credit score.

It's damn near impossible to cancel the account.

I've been on hold for 2 hrs now and havent even spoke to anyone yet.

Friggin crazy.

Why would you sign up for a credit reporting service that only reports one credit firm's results?

If your credit score is as important as those ads say why isn't this vital information made free to us? It seems like all the potentially "free" sites are scams.

Thanks for the warning. Normally if I'm interested in obtaining my credit score, I'll go through my bank. You are entitled to one free report each year.

4 hrs?! Jeeezus...that is ridiculous. You'd figure at the tops one hour for the lunch period.

yea... i've read nothing but horrible things about canceling it. Ugh I should have done a google search on them before doing the signup a few months back

What made you jump the gun so fast? Usually nothing good ever comes out of an impulse move/buy for me.

ugh still on hold this is insane.I believe you might have made the mistake of signing up for credit monitoring service when you signed up to see your score. The reason why I'm suggesting that is that I've pulled my credit/fico score w/ them also & they have to beg me annually to re-do the service. ;) Pulling your credit report is a 1-time charge unless you inadvertently enrolled into another of their "other" services that bill monthly. Don't worry, you're not alone in getting caught in this "gotcha" way of business. :p

Finally got someone to cancel it. Called the number to signup and then had them transfer me after *****ing to the girl that I was onhold for 4 hrs and got hung up on.
