EDIT: Why no brown Halo 3 1:6 scale helmets? Doesn't make sense....

Why would McFarlane Toys make only a 12" Master Chief, 12" Blue Spartan Mk 6, and 12" Brown Spartan Mk 6...and then release so many interchangeable helmets...but none in the MC green or brown as two of the three 12" figures already out????

It only makes sense to release a 12" Red Spartan Mk 6 or even a 12" White Spartan Mk 6 then OR some brown or green helmets...

btw, you technically already reported on this when you saw that thread months back and then posted up the notice on figures.com that the lineup had changed.

you just didn't go into the specifics and note each of the changes. this figure was one of them

And yeah - I'm not collecting the 5" figures (Gonzo22 - aka Jeff gets all of those) but I do the 1:6 scale and I love 'em - can't wait for the helmets! :D

It's a possibility in the future, but it is not happening in 2009.

Joe - thanks for the clarification - I was confused and thought I was correct in that it was NOT coming out in 2009...

sorry to hear that - any chance we'll see more 12" Spartans in different colors? I'm a huge fan of the 1/6 scale and with the helmets coming out in all different colors...we NEED multi-colored 12" Spartans...

yeah - it seems the only 12-inch anything coming out are the Halo helmets - which means I need at least two 12-inch Blue Spartans so I can make use of these...

Guess I'm putting together a blue squad instead of a red squad...which is OK...but I sure like red a whole lot more... :o:(:cool:

I really don't get having helmets in random colors with no bodies to match. If this is supposed to be another mix-and-match line, they need shoulder variants.

I know it's a long shot, but I'd like a 12" ODST when the 1/2-game comes out next Fall.

I thought it was pretty obvious these aren't just for the 12", you can get your own personal helmet and display it. That's kind of the point of having so many colors.

It really seems like the 12" line was very poorly thought out.

3 initial figure, all with the same weapon. Helmet packs w/o shoulder & chest armor. No additional 12" weapons. They should've put out 6 or so different colored 12" figures, and then concentrated on making the different helmet/armor versions of them, instead of all of the rainbow colors they are making.

Also, if they want the scale right, the ODST should be like 11" or so.

yeah - I'm just hoping the Blue Helmet set makes it out - I have two 12" Blue Spartans that need those helmets...

And I will be getting the red set too as I have MADDOG custom painting me a 12" Red Spartan - I just hope the tints match :)

I'd buy a lot more helmets/12" figs if I could swap the armor. As it stands right now I'm just buying one helmet set and no more 12" figs.

yeah - agreed Jin - it'd make WAY more sense to be able to swap armor and helmets w/ the 12" bodies in the appropriate colors...
