Well, I passed my my local LCS last night just to browse the shelves. It's been almost 2 months since I go there. Last time I visited the place I got turned off by all the price hikes on almost everything in the store. I ran into an item that actually has a fair selling price (according to the research I've been doing on this specific piece), which I have been considering for a few weeks now. But of course me being so passive sometimes, I placed it back on the shelf and went on home. I had the money, but I'm not impulsive in any way unless I have plenty to spend. Besides, I'm always looking for the BBD (Bigger Better Deal;))

I get home and grab the mail. The usual bull***** flyers and a letter from my mortgage company:rolleyes: I open the letter wondering W T F it's purpose is since I just sent my mortgage last week. It was a letter regarding my escrow account. I apparently had overpaid and had a surplus of $812.56:D Not only did I get a check for this amount, my mortgage went down for 2009 by $110 for every month:):D Talk about starting the New Year on a positive note:) With the overwhelming joy of extra money and a lower mortgage for 2009, i got my ass back in my car and headed back to my LCS:D I brought home this:

This figure looks amazing as far as articulation!

Unfortunately, I will not be opening my She Predator anytime soon:o:( The problem is, I have finally reached a max capacity of collectibles in my collection area:( Until I do not clear things out and make additional room, there's no sense it opening her if I cannot display this kickass piece. We're talking about over 1000 pieces now in my collection:o I can't wait until I move to a bigger home:) Til then, I will have to store parts of my collection elsewhere AND blindside a bit more throughout 2009:D

You should buy it if you like it. Not because EVERYONE else is getting this freakin figure and you're feeling left out. It's not exactly $15 you'll be spending;)

Thanks, Lonewolf. I believe you are correct. This will definately not be my last. There are already a few others I'm looking to buy. I may just divert my collecting habit towards these higher end figures for a little bit

welcome to a new addiction. That is a great piece, although I still havent found the funds to pick it up. Hot Toys is coming out with alot of awesome 1'6 figures in 2009, amd it's going to be hard to decide which ones to get and which ones to pass on.

I'd like to pick up that Lost Predator, too. That thing is just awesome.

Same thing happened to me 3 years ago when I bought my house originally. Be on the look out every year. BY LAW they have to get better estimating yer payments but they always overshoot. Every year since I've lived here I've gotten some money back. 1st year was about $800, 2nd year was about $350, and this year I only got back $140. Not too shabby. I was just as happy when I got that first $800 check like you. Enjoy the free money!

I...really should stop coming here, lol. Everyone's pieces are so tempting that it makes me go crazy that i can't collect for several years (at least, I can buy, but have to leave at home).

Last year I remember getting a check from my escrow account, too. It was for about $500. I thought it was just a one time thing. Well, I guess not:). I really don't mind dishing out a bit more money throughout the year in order to receive this little refund in the beginning of the following year. Kind of like a tax return:)
