The film was the worst thing I've seen since Battlefield Earth.
In fact I think it may have been WORSE, so apparently that's possible.

Nope, the movie is awesome. You nerds just take **** too seriously. He isn't the Crow in a red tie...he's Eisner's goofy hero. That is what Miller directed.
I love it. Go choke and die on your own ****, haters.

No, it just sucked. I know you're trying on that cool "lone voice in the wilderness' hat, but it doesn't fit you and just makes your head look tiny.
Miller didn't direct Eisner's Spirit, he directed Miller's Spirit and because of that, he **** all over Eisner and produced one of the worst pieces of **** ever to be called a movie.

because miller didnt drift far from the comic, he actually stayed there. and some of the scenes were done in the style of a comic, which killed it a bit, I think if miller wouldve made spirit the movie it wouldve worked, but he made spirit the motion comic.

No, that's not why. He didn't come anywhere near "The Spirit" as Eisner intended.
He made "The Spirit goes to Sin City" and then edited it into a mismash of non-sensical bull****, gave the Octopus an actual character that just ****ING SUCKED and let Sam Jackson take the leash off his inner ham and oh how the pork fat flew! Not to mention every line of dialog qualifies as the WORST LINE OF DIALOG EVER WRITTEN, and you've got the worst movie I've seen in a long, long time.

Actually it looks like Miller dumbed it down to his level so he could experiment with his first attempt at film directing. It's far from the comic because Miller is not as talented as Eisner.

So its been nearly a month since the movie came out, and what little initial buzz or interest there was has probably died and we have yet to see these in stores? As much as I hate to say it I think Mez dropped the ball.

Can I ask why everyone hates on the movie? If I had read a Spirit comic before hand, would that have ruined it for me? Like if it wasn't called the Spirit, would you guys like it more? I had no problem with it, but had no previous introduction to the comic series.

I read in some interview with him, that he felt he made it the way that Eisner would have wanted. It went something like this: "Eisner was my mentor, and everything I did was for him. As for the fans? I don't owe the fans a ******* thing." By the way, I'm not backing Miller on this one, I was just referencing it to show he is being a **** about it.

I also enjoyed the movie. It had some good comic references too.
