With the Quality at a new low with McFarlane figs I think IM only going to collect McFarlane figs Pre-2008. I was happy with the Quality back in the day.Paint, detail,etc....Now its all Garbage. I think pre-2008 figs will hold value better and I love to look at the details on figures.
Just My 2 cents.

I love almost anything they produced between 2003 and 2004 - those figures are still some of the best ever made.

I wouldn't count on anything holding value these days, but for your own aesthetic pleasure you should go for it man.

I am just going to continue to collect whatever I think looks cool. That is the way I have always been.

I don't care about value at all! I can't see how anyone can collect like that.
I do agree with the OP though that I can't see myself spending much money on the figs anymore. I do like the statues though.

It is unfortunate TMP has chosen this route. I miss the old days. :(

6" figs aren't worth it anymore, regardless.

Just venture off elsewhere. TMP is not the only player in the game. Although (action figure wise) they have not done much lately, I am excited about the resin statues and series 36 (if it doesn't get canned between today and sometime in October of this year). Til then, I'm spreading the funds all over. BTW, don't collect for the purpose of items holding value. You'll lose all the fun out of collecting;)

What route?

TMP hasn't made anything in months that interests me, NECA has made a few figures that I've purchased & DCU/ WoW has gotten most of my action figure cash in the last year. I've pretty much made the move to statues, busts & high end figures. It's too bad, 'cause if McF made anything besides kiddie toys I'd have bought it.
