My best friend got one off ebay. He got one that didn't have a simlock, and it worked just fine here in Belgium.

Until the battery gave out and he tossed it in the trash.

Good point on the battery. My gf saw one ,also on ebay and was thinking of getting 1. Thanks! I Will let her know. (Also about the battery issue :D)

I don't know anything about the sidekicks working in other countries. Ive had a sidekick 2 and a sidekick 3 and never had any problem with the battery.
