Superdome Manager Optimistic Saints Will Stay

The Superdome general manager remains optimistic the Saints and the state will reach a deal to keep the team in New Orleans. Doug Thornton says they're trying to come up with an agreement that makes sense for the team, taxpayers, and the superdome. “The Superdome has been improved, since Katrina. There are probably still improvements that can be made long term, to the facility to make it better for the team. We’re examining those, and exploring ways to fund those, but I think we're going to be able to reach a deal,” said Thornton. Thornton says negotiations are centering around a 15-year deal through the 2025 season.
