sorry, i don't have a pic right now but i will...

i bought today a Tom Brady 2008 McFarlane piece. the variants are getting harder to find each time, clean, dirty, etc.

i bought 2 bradys not knowing there was a clean version, but the other Brady i bought has a completely different facemask.

it has an offensive lineman's facemask, like Richard Seymour's facemask.

is this a variant because it just doesn't seem like a likely mistake like my Jake Plummer with no name on the back.

can anybody help? has anyone seen or own a piece like the one i'm talking about?

I doubt it was intentional. Why would they give Brady a defensive lineman's facemask? You have a factory error.

1. my guess is it just an error.

2. richard seymour is a DEFENSIVE lineman, not an offensive lineman, and his facemask is somewhat similar to the most recent peyton manning figures facemask.

It isn't just an error - in the minds of most of the collectors it's a SIN!

Remember, a chase is defined as an intentional variance in a specified quantity to the painted prototype, like a differently coloured item on the figure (Jersey, sweatband perhaps, etc.) or a particular addition to a figure, like an event patch or something.

My brother bought me a Lambert for Christmas. I opened it to display it without giving it much of a look. It has the Howie Long facemask instead of the Lambert one. A gray variant on top of the gray variant. Yippee...

Either way it's serving it's purpose on my shelf collecting dust...
