Browsing bungie.net I came across this awesome picture. Though not a spawn halo pic it just has elements of what I'd expect to see in a crossover figure.

Well damn.. if that doesn't just bring a tear to my eye. I had to do a double-take to realize the wings were made up of weapons like Sniper Rifles and stuff.

Wow.

Hmmm interesting, that would be back heavy if it was a figure. Is that armor black, I though black wasn't in halo 3, I want some black spartans dammit.

I'd attempt this as a custom but the gathering of all those weapons would be costly. I guess if MCF ever sold the weapons in the extra parts section it could be pulled off. If it was done correctly the wings wouldn't be to outrageously thick, instead of just gluing them on top of each other they would need to be cut so they looked welded together.

This got me thinking...

Did you know BLACK is the only color (or lack of color?) that doesn't actually exist in nature. All other primary colors exist somewhere in nature...at least that what I was told when I went through a camouflage class when I was in the Marines...

This is one of the reasons why black doesn't really make a good color for military uniforms, vehicles, etc - black helps break up the shape/structure of an object, but doesn't make a good base color for the object -

This is maybe why Spartans don't have black armor...

Then how come spec ops guys wear black suits?

Black isn't an option in halo 3, because it would put you at an advantage over the other players, hard to see.

Black might have some advantages in some maps but not all. I think bungie realized that most people would default to black and they just didn't want it to be the norm.

It isn't like the color can totally camouflage you in the game, your suit has lights on it and they make your shoulder logo glow and stick out like a sore thumb.

You can be black if you have the team forced color or you are a zombie

Well...back in the first Halo, black was an option. And, if you look close enough black is still an option for armor...only in a custom game....excuse me whilst I get pictures.

Optronix

It says black, but it looks way more like the Gamestop steel, maybe they didn't want real black.

Of course... it's so simple. All military units need to hide in their black camo behind dogs.

It's a zombie. Only zombies get black armor. And this is a rather old picture. It's been around for a while. It was one of the Bungie Favorites a while ago. I'd love a toy of this though :p it would just have to bend forward.
