Ghastly is right, especially the original price of $70 ($74 at K-Mart). If Hasbro was going for random guys who don't collect, but feel a little but of nostalgia, why didn't they make a toy that those people would remember? We can assume that the colors are meant to be cartoon accurate. The smokestacks are short due to toy safety laws, but only because they are chromed. (Something to do with the brittleness of the plastic required for chromed parts.) I broke a bunch of things on my Optimus Prime as a kid, but the smokestacks were never broken.

I got mine cheap at Target. It was on clearance for about $18. I also bought some long smokestacks to make Prime look correct.

The DVD doesn't even work in my old DVD player. Now, you might say that the DVD shouldn't work because I have an old DVD player. But, it's a supposedly legitimate, professionally made DVD, so it should work in my old DVD player. I do have DVD-Rs of MST3K episodes that I got from a fansite. Some work in the player and some don't, but they are DVD-Rs, so that is to be expected.
