View Full Version : Female Action Figures

I know there's a thread here somewhere for McFarlane Females or what not, but what I want to know are what are some good action figures of female characters? Kinds you can pose and move and play with, not statues. We have so many guy heroes in the basement from my brother's collections when he was younger that I want some female heroes around the house. Any good ones out there?

Plenty of stuff in the DC area, Wonder Woman and that sort of ilk. Very few who are wearing any clothes, of course.

Well, I know there are lots of females in the DC and Marvel universes, but I'm talking any good toys. Ones with particularly good articulation, or something that makes they "better" than others in some way.

Ouch. DC Superheroes and Marvel Legends just got burned.

Marvel Legends or DCUC is about the only thing you could turn to with your specifications. DCD isn't too bad for that either, but the articulation isn't anything special, and they're scale is bad imo. Same with Marvel Select.

DC stuff

I got some villans too, but you asked for Heros.

Marvel stuff (not all of these are too great)

Look around in these ones for a few

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u347/Trunks3540/Figures/Avengers/Avengers-1.jpg

I have some villans of those too, but you asked for Heros. I don't have many single pics of the X-Men girls, but I might make some later.

Pretty much if you want articulation, "fun factor", etc., I guess you have to go with the aformentioned stuff. If you want great looking ones, you have to go with McF females, statues, anime ones with next to nothing in the clothing department, etc heheh.

Great looking figures=Clayburn Moore figures ;) that's my kind of sexy

I'm gonna take some pics of all my X-Men figures in seperate groups, like Rogue and Jean and all that. I have a few, the ones I have more then 1 figure of. But I need to do single figures like Cable or Domino or Jean. So I'm gonna go do those, then I'll post the chicks up on here.

Most girl figures suck, mostly due to the fact that its hard to make a decent toy of a girl due to the female physique, no offense to any girls of course. Go with DCUC, they are the only good female figures that are able to be posed. Marvel Legends has always sucked when it came to females.

Well, I was thinking of this
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp182/UltimatBlitz/FF12ASHEACTFIG.jpg
because I like final fantasy and all.
And heroes/villains, I don't really care which. Lot of the villains I'm seeing here I thought where heroes, so I'm not really with it there.

Look up Max Factory's Figmas or Fraulien Revoltech. They got alot of females with very good posability.

Example of a Figma figure:

Example of a Fraulien Revolteach figure:
http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=3824&g2_serialNumber=1

I personally like the Figma's better, since they cost less and the articulation blends in better with the sculpt.

Go to HLJ.com, they have listings for dollar and other currencies if you're ordering from outside Japan.

Bad timing though, we're actually paying more than the Japanese for them, when we used to pay less.

The highest I've seen without the shipping, handling, and whatever else in added on is $29.30 for those Figmas. When I originally saw the price in Yen I freaked and though it was in pounds :p geez, glad I saw the mistake before I decided against them entirely.

Kotobukiyas Play Arts Final Fantasy has female characters that look good and have slot of articulation. If you're talking only Super Heroes, then DC Universe and Marvel Legends really are your only option.

The Figmas are 14 cm? That seems small to me, but I'm not good with measurements. Anyway, I'm liking these Figmas a lot. If you want to keep suggesting, go ahead, but I think I'm sold.

I own (almost) all of the Lucky Star Figmas, and they're about 5"-6", like impalerprince said. The Fraulien Revoltechs are maybe 4-5" at most.

Just type up Figma on the search in HLJ and you can see what's available. I highly recommend them. :)

I found this "Kirin Hobby". They ship from California, so the shipping won't be as bad, but the prices are a little higher, and they don't have everything I want :( But they have some I want that the other doesn't. Think I should order what I can from Kirin and then the rest from HLJ?

When I ordered the Lucky Star figures from them, I chose the SAL shipment option and it was only about $7-8 US? Not bad in my opinion, but it will take longer to get to you.

*EDIT because I type too damn slow* If the total prices come out to be the same between the two sites, then that seems like a good idea.

You were probably looking at the EMS shipping quote then. EMS is quicker, and insures the package in case anything happens, but, as obvious, costs a whole lot more.

I bought both of those. They're nice figures cept the diving suit versions belt broke easily and it was hard as hell to fix. They're a little bigger then 6" scale too. Maybe 6.5 ish.

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u347/Trunks3540/Figures/Others/TombRaider.jpg

The jacket is removeable and she has alternate arms.

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u347/Trunks3540/Figures/Others/LaraCroft.jpg

Because it's a clone...of a man.

Stormtroopers are not clones. Emporer Palpatine did away with the Clones after some of the last batches rebelled against the Empire when it was formed calling them traitors and uncontrollable. They started thinking for themselves. Most of the clones died out at the end of the Clone Wars, and the rest died shortly after the first Death Star was destroyed. They only had a 20-30 year lifespan anyway.

And if you want those Marvel Legends females photos I did some more last night. I needed singles of them anyway so I figured 2 birds with 1 stone.

And that's interesting. Just last night this girl was ranting to me about how she hates pigtails and no girl can pull them off and blah blah blah I stopped paying attention after that.

What's pretty cool is that site sells other heads, for like 6 bucks. I was thinking of getting another head and switching them every now and then y'know? But not a huge fan of the faces on the others. Still, it's not too expensive so I might.

I've never seen any in stores. Where'd you see it? And was was it of?

I did have another question. Are all the figmas the same scale? If so, are there any guy ones. I need some guys in scale with the girls. Long story.

I saw it at a Comic Shop in Everett. I don't know the name of the show, but it has girls dancing, and I think that's all they do on the show.

I have a couple of figmas and they are nice. Maybe even better than the revoltech figures. They joints are better and they dont look so cartoonish(ie. big hands, feet, etc.)
I can take a few shots if you like.

I was originally making a story with my Halo toys, then I was going to cancel it because of things I needed and a lack of inspiration. But people on the forums I posted them on begged me not to stop the story, so I came up with scenes (in my head) that involve the characters out of their armor...which I decided to use the Figma line for...which means I need males as well as females T-T The cost has already gone to over $200...I think I'm gonna limit it to the Figmas for now.

Why dont you trust HLJ? I got mine from them. Plus they have them available on their release date, most american sites do not( BBTS *cough* *cough*). HLJ has great prices too even with the international shipping. I think you could save up to $10 per figure if you buy them at HLJ.
