Here's a couple vids on a thing called change blindness. I've done experiments with it before, but I came across these vids(on cracked.com) and thought it was entertaining.

First vid is a short clip on what change blindness is:

And this is a hilarious vid of change blindness in action:

Hope you enjoy.

Haha, great stuff. Especially the man to woman one in the second vid.

I remember reading something about this once before. It was one of many tests for autism if I remember correctly. Not to say if you noticed a change yourself that you're autistic, but just one of a bunch of tests that determined such.

Pretty hilarious stuff!

hahaha how do you not notice a white man turning into an asian woman??? i could understand the male to male switches, but that is absurd? wouldnt you think youd notice if the voice, something you actually were aware of, changed, then you would notice?

Well, that's exactly the point of change blindness. When something changes, but you didn't see the change happen, your brain tells you no change occurred.

Most of it takes advantage of a person's natural sense of superiority when helping someone. It distracts them and makes them feel more comfortable/trusting or less suspicious.

I just noticed that is a picture of Derren Brown that they use as a block/distraction tool. I guess the mind lets go of his mental image when they see the picture pass by them.

Being a person that is generally suspicious of everyone, these things tend to not work on me. I blow magic tricks too. I don't think I'm much fun. I have a very over-active brain that makes it hard for me to sleep. Doctors don't really know what the issue is, but they joke that I'm gonna go nuts someday if I don't slow down. My actual valid fear is that i'll end up an extreme schizo. Until then, I'll just have fun with it and drive myself crazy with thought.

Hahaha oh I was watching those videos last night and forgot to comment... I can't believe some people didn't pick up on the really obvious ones, like male to female and white to black. Maybe they did and they thought they were trippin' so they acted natural? XD

I wonder if I'd be the same as the masses
