My haul is "Way" "Pool"er than your haul!!!

Ok....bad pun, but it's my first real haul in a while.

Picked up the new "Deadpool Vol 1: Secret Invasion" Tradepaperback from a local comic book shop here.

What makes this haul so cool is that Daniel Way was there for the release of the book and was doing signings. Sadly, I didn't get any pics of the guy, but he was very laid back and cool. Talked to everyone for a long time each. Was talking to me about how he got when he first got into writing the character that he didn't know much about him. Also that he wishes he could read more stories than writing them. This was kind of a lead in to about how Garth Ennis wanted him to take over for Punisher. In which Way told him, "If I was writing Punisher, I wouldn't be reading YOUR story of him." He felt that following Ennis was "an extremely hard act to follow'.

I kinda also made it a self bday gift to myself (the release of the book was the 11th, my bday was the day before).

Sweetness. I love Deadpool. And that sounds like a lot of comic artists and writers. Most of them seem down to earth when you meet and talk. It's really refreshing. I wish I could get Whedon to sign my Astonishing TPBs year 1 and 2. I would literally **** myself if it were possible lol.
