How do you feel about this?

Those of you that attend Comic Con or other high profile conventions where artists attend have seen this... or probably do this... using their kids to get an artist sketch despite them saying they won't do sketches.

Personally, I think it's pretty scummy of parents to do that. One, it's unfair to the people that are actual fans who want a sketch, and two, it disrespects the artists request not to do sketches. And put yourself in the artists' shoes... would you really say no?

I've seen five year old kids walk up to artist, looking at their parents directly behind them for what to say, asking for a Wonder Woman sketch despite the artist and their staff saying they cannot do sketches. Then the parent taking the sketch book and glowing over their newly hauled sketch. One time, I saw a kid crying because he didn't want to do what his father was telling him, to ask for a sketch. The father even enticed his kid about getting him ice cream if he did it. Hesitantly, the kid did what he was asked.

I only find this acceptable if the kid truly wants a sketch, but seeing fanboy parents have their kids do their dirty work is absolutely low!

If the artists doesn't do sketchs and the parents try to use their kids to get one, then yes, that's wrong.

The parent obviously has a "by any means necessary" mentality.
It can be upsetting at times to see it happen, but that's what happens in the collecting world with anything that is exclusive and highly sought after.

If it means I have to wait longer then I'm against it.
