Took me long enough right? Anyway, I went to TRU, like always on monday. And I found a few good things. But I didn't have a whole lot of money, so I had to watch what I got.

I'll start with the Halo, since thats the more important thing on MY list.

This is the S1 MC with the S2 hand, but I bought the S4 MC and took pics with the Rocket Launcher and Bubble Shield. The S4 MC was total CRAP. The joints were loose, the paint was atrocious, and the head was slightly deformed. So, screw him. But I did get a Rocket Launcher and Bubble Shield and HPs out of the deal. And, I need to be a completionist.

And the AC Arbiter

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u347/Trunks3540/Figures/Halo%203/TheArbiterActiveCammo.jpg

I had to alter the Rocket Launcher and cut a little bit off for it to fit in their hands properly, and the S2 hand doesn't work well with it, but the S1 hand and the Trigger hand from S3 both work amazing, if you cut that little itty bitty part off the bottom. Also gonna drill a hole in the side for a peg later methinks. The Blue Mark VI is holding it on my display for now, and it fits perfect in his hand. I didn't take a new pic though, why should I just for 1 gun? Specially when I'm gonna be getting the Orange one soon to add to it.

And Arbiter right wrist snapped streight out of package. And they only had the one. So I swapped the left hand for the right hand and glued the right hand into the left hand spot. Holds well, and you can't even tell the difference. If it was the old Arbiter hand molds, then yea. But these are the new ones with (a much welcomed) knuckel joint.

Now all I need is the Pink, the Tan Elite, and the Blue Hayabusa x2. The Orange should be on the way soon. YAY!!! *AND* I now have somewhere around 200 HPs, closing in on my AC Recon. Which reminds me, did the AC Recon go up? Was it always 300 pts? I coulda swore it used to be 275... But I could be wrong.

And the DCUC

He was the only thing on the DCUC pegs, and they only had the 1 of him, so I figured I might as well get him in case I don't see em again.

And KMart is having a sale on SW figures, $4.99 a piece (SHAZAM!!! half price). So I nabbed a couple I kinda needed but didn't wanna shill out a bunch for.

Oddball

R2-D2

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u347/Trunks3540/Figures/Star%20Wars/R2-D2CloneWars.jpg

R2 is from Clone Wars too, but he doesn't look much different then a Legacy R2 would, and he is the best R2 I've seen in a while, so I wanted him. I needed a better one then the AotC version with the rockets.

Anyway, thats it. I saw some new Dragonball Evoluion figures, most of em sucked. Piccolo didn't look too bad. And I saw some older Iron Man stuff that I already had. And some new Spiderman, also what I already have though. And TRU has an exclusive Iron Man box set with the Mark I, II, and III all in one box for $30. But I have them all, no sense in buying it again. Didn't see much else. New MU, Wolverine Origins, and X-Men cartoon, but I won't buy that crap so I left it there.

Thanks for looking.

Oh yea, and whats with the DCUC wave being 6 figures for the BAF and a 7th figure with a stand? I kinda miss the 5 figure waves. We might get more figures out that way, but it makes it harder to complete a BAF now. I'm gonna have to be more selective soon if this 6-7 per wave keeps up.

And no new ML figures ANYWHERE if anyone was wondering.

Yeah, the lack of new ML's is depressing. :(

I finally found the DCUC Captain Cold, Booster Gold, Kid Flash, and Disco Aquaman last night. Pretty impressed with the quality, it seems to get better each wave.

Yea, I'm liking these more and more with every wave too. The only one few I didn't buy in the last few waves were characters that looked totally dumb, or I knew NOTHING about. I even got Mr. Miracle and Dr. Impossible, just because they looked semi cool and I love what the 4 horsemen are doing. And the BAFs are pretty good as well. I can't wait to find Flash and the rest of this wave. I might just buy the whole thing, cause I looked at the backcard and they look really good, even though I don't know anything about Booster Gold, and very little about Blue Beatle.

Captain Cold.....REALLY??

Really. :D

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I like how they make it so you get the Hero and their Rival in the same wave just about. In Wave 1 you got Batman and Penguin. Wave 2 had Superman and Grodd, and you got Aquaman and Black Manta. Wave 3 had GL and Sinestro, and then Nightwing and Slade. Wave 4 had WW and Ares. Don't know much about any characters of wave 5. Wave 6 had Superman and Kalibak, and Dr. Impossible and Mr. Miracle. And Wave 7 has Flash and Captain Cold... There are probebly more, but I don't know a whole lot about all the DC figures they made.

it was said in an interview somewhere...maybe it was toyfare...i can't remember that they wanted to up the number of figures to get more characters out there. i guess they figured they could do that by adding more pieces to the C & C...who knows. the stand from flash doesn't go to atom smasher...they're putting stands with the figures of the most popular characters, and characters that are being re-released. they put stands with green lantern, batman, wonder woman, shazam, robin, firestar and with flash, i'm sure it was just a way to get you to buy an extra figure...just like hawkgirl will only have a stand when she comes out in the next wave.

Hmm, I get them wanting to put out more figures. But does DC really have that many? I thought Marvel had way more. I'm probebly wrong. But, even if they do have a bunch, would they be able to make ones the majority actually recognize?

And I seen stand figures of Wonder Woman and Firestorm. It made me sad cause I need Firestorm to finish Grodd and I was gonna buy him till I saw the stand. And I want the White version cause he was the one I knew in the Super Friends cartoon. So I'm being picky. Seeing no Grodd piece was a heartbreak. They changed the backcard of those figures as well.

I just don't like them puttin more figures per wave cause 5 was manageable, and easy to get BAF pieces. Now its gonna be harder to complete the BAFs without buying figures you don't want. Thats why I never had a complete Marvel BAF till recently. There was always that few figures or 1 figure per wave I didn't want. DC is going the same way now.

Dc has 70 years worth of characters to draw from. Aside from Capt. America and Namor, Marvel's working off of just 50. May not seem like a difference, but DC used to be three different companies, all with their own characters, and they also bought out Charleston and Quality comics, which probably doubles their Golden Age character base. Then there's the redundant but massive JSA/JLA teams, literally a Legion of Superheroes, alternate universe (Ultraman and Luthor from Earth 3), Teen Titans (thru three different generations and over 100 members), and Kirby's 4th World (where Darkseid and Apokalips come from).

Considering Mattel's statements that they've got this line planned out for years to come, and their willingness to do 1st and 5th tier characters in every wave, there's definitely enough of a character pool where they might not slow down for another few years. Plus, keeping the Top-tier characters in the assortments, but out of the BAF sets, means there'll always be popular characters on the shelves, next to different lesser knowns as the line continues on.

I did not know that. Wow DC has alot more then I first thought. Still, eventually they're gonna run out of characters people recognize unless they do more alternate suits and whatnot. Alot of the Marvel characters are more well known then alot of the DC characters. But that won't be for a while I guess. Still, I don't think they should go ML with this and do 8-10 figures per wave. That was getting insane lol.
