Ray Allen acts classless...then whines about dancing

Ray Allen flops to the ground as his team was getting pounded like they stole something and he throws a cheapshot to Anderson's junk after the whistle was blown.

Then, after the game he complained about the Cavs dancing to the 'Rick Roll' song by Rick Astley on the jumbotron as they were routing the defending Champions.

He said he was 'filing it away in the memory bank'.

Two things:
-Ray Allen should have been ejected.
-Perhaps Ray Allen forgets last year's preseason when he, Garnett and Pierce taunted Lebron because they won a preseason game against the Cavs. He didn't seem to think it was classless then in an even less meaningful game.

Ummmm, as an extremely unbiased outsider (considering I hate both teams), it looked to me as if Varejao hook Allen's arm and then hiptossed him. As a multi year all-star, potential future hall of famer, and one of the games best shooters in all of history....he better retailiate to a friggen flop artist scrub of a player who has accomplished nothing in the NBA. Varejao is lucky he wasn't knocked out. He pulled a huge punk move.

I've pretty much consistently said that LeBron is the #2 player in the league behind Kobe. If that is hating on a player, then I guess I am guilty. However, I actually see that as praising a player. I guess you have that opinion of me because the only conversations about LeBron I usually take part in is the Kobe vs LeBron ones. But I am a Cavs hater, as I am also a Celtic hater. That would mean I am unbiased in this particular situation. Now if this were Rasheed vs. Varejao, then I could understand me being biased. Varejao's move on Allen was a cheap move though. Don't ignore that fact in this situation. Allen's was obviously cheap too. Kind of surprised me as Allen really hasn't been that type of guy in his career, at least in my opinion. It should make for a more interesting playoff matchup should they meet. I enjoy the matchups that have bad blood. Those really have not been around in recent years.

Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen was suspended one game without pay for elbowing Cleveland Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao in the groin on Sunday, the NBA announced on Tuesday.

Allen, who averages 18.2 points and 3.5 rebounds, will serve his suspension when the Celtics visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Allen will be docked more than $167,000 in salary. Kevin Garnett also will miss the game to rest his strained knee.

Tempers boiled in the third quarter of Boston's 107-76 loss at Cleveland on Sunday when Varejao and Allen got tangled under the basket after a free throw.

Varejao flung Boston's guard to the floor, and Allen responded with a well placed elbow into the forward's groin area. Both players jawed at each other before getting technical fouls.

"It was a dirty play," Allen said. "He locked my arm and threw me to the ground. I wasn't going to allow him to think he could do whatever he wanted. I'm always going to stand up for myself. It's one thing for a team to be beating us, but they're not going to walk all over us."

The frizzy-haired Varejao had his own take.

"You don't hit a man in his [groin]," he said. "He doesn't like Brazilians or he doesn't like my hair."

Im not sure about Ray Allen being classless or classy but he was flung to the ground by Varejoa.. that deserved a technical and Ray Allen should have been kicked out of the game for what he did.. You should never punch a guy in his balls.. But Vraejoa did deserve a punch in the face for that move..

yeah i love how Allen said the Cavs should act classy but they dump gatorade ON THE COURT before the game was over during the Finals.

I admit, I was going for the Celtics in last years finals....

But this year, they really seem c o c k y. Seems like their ego's got the best of them after winning the title. Celtic players that really annoy me this year is honestly Garnett & Perkins. They totally did a 180 with their class attitude on the court. I hope they lose in their first series of this coming playoffs.

Another player (non-celtics) that really seems c o c k y compared to 2 years ago is Chris Paul (on the court). That's just my opinion.

I am not going defend the Celtics actions either but to say Allen is classless is rediculous.
If someone flips you over on the ground, are you just going to shake it off?

hahaha. I love how the one announcer goes "I'm impressed by Varejao" and the other one, referencing that he didn't feel anything goes "I'm not." Good stuff.
