What is the best mass market toy line in your opinion? My vote goes to DC Universe Classics.

DCUC - They definately picked the ball that Hasbro dropped with ML's.

Based on sales? Bakugan.

Umm, Halo. DCUC figures are tiny and crap.

Que?
edit: I say this because DCUC figures are bigger than Halo, and because I wouldn't exactly count Halo as mass market.

I was thinking more along the lines of sculpt, paint, and articulation.
Based on sales? Bakugan.

DCUC. How are they "tiny"? They're bigger than the Halo figures. I also really enjoy Mattel's Movie Masters.

Personally, I get more excited for a new Marvel Legends line (as crappy as they are sometimes) than DCU, so my vote still goes to Legends.

They're nonproportioned, the plastic looks incredibly cheap, and the hideoulsy obvious articulation make them unbearable to even look at.

i vote marvel legends. dcuc has bad knee and torso joints :D plus they look kinda flat in the color department

It's called comic book styling. They're supposed to be like that. You like Halo don't you?

Halo. Seriously? Toylines should have more than ONE toy in it. They should also not be based on a video game franchise where you never actually see your character as you control him.
It makes as much sense as a 'based on the box art' Gordon Freeman action figure.

Just because I happen to like Halo doesn't mean I'm oblivious to the quality of other lines. And since I know you despise the Halo series, don't try typing me as some "Halo fanatic fanboy" that screams how L33t Halo pwnz ur soul (or whatever crap the kids say these days). And it's not comic book styling, it's crappy sculpting and colored plastic.

I'd have to say DCU though i don't collect it, seem very popular though.

Yeah DCU seems to have all the attributes of a great toy line. The sculpting is solid as is the paint work and articulation. There is also a nice variety of characters.

I would say Star Wars
Huge character selection and probably best combination of sculpt and articulation at that scale
Not to mention all the great vehicles for the line. The new Falcon is awesome!

The fact that you think DCUC has low quality control is just your own opinion, bud. Personally, I've seen more crappily painted and broken Halo figures than I have DCUC figures, but that may just be my own experience.
And it's not comic book styling, it's crappy sculpting and colored plastic.
Once again, your opinion.

Star wars is the only other toyline that comes close in this thread, everyone else is just wrong by lightyears.
Lego,
Hotwheels,
StarWars,
Those are mass juggernauts, not DCU or bakugan, they haven't been around long enough to even be considered.

While I love TF;G1, and it is my main collection, you can't really consider this a "best" because it completely died, and then Beast Wars brought TF's back into popularity.

Does being sold in walmart make it count? (McF anyhoo... don't think I've ever seen Neca in Walmart)

Star Wars has been producing and selling new figures, updated sculpts, deeper characters from all influences, etc. pretty much nonstop since 1977. The figures are traditionally pretty good for their time and for the 3 3/4 scale.
It begins and ends with Star Wars.

As much I hate to admit it, I'd have to say I agree. And as I hate anime style figures with a passion, with the move to that style with Clone Wars, I'm even more reluctant to admit it.....but ma pappy dun tole me to alwayz tell da' truth. :o

Star Wars although I admit I don't even recognize or care about most of the figures they release these days.
You just can't deny what the line has accomplished overall.
