After ignoring the first Moviemaniac line, it took me a while to get Jason and Freddy.....

But I will say that Wheel Girl wins with 4 years since I knew of her existence.......

I think the Movie Masters Joker, when it first came out and was really, really rare. I searched for him for a bout three months before finding him at a tiny, crappy K-Mart.

Well, however long the grunts have been out for the current Halo 3 line...never saw ONE of them.

Since i'm morbidly obese I fun out of breath real quick. It's hard for me to chase a figure at all. I consider the damn thing lost if I drop it down the stars.

Kaiyodo Vash the Stampede statue...about 5 or 6 years now. Several others have taken me 2-3 years, but this guy keeps alluding me.

I'm pretty sure this one is actually a bootleg model kit, but you get the point:

The actual one has a black base with white writing on it and also includes that little black cat.

11 years , almost a $1k figure that I got at a steal for $30 several years ago at a local small toy show. The guy knew it was an ultra hard figure to get and had wanted a pretty penny for it (maybe $200) but he let it go for ultra cheap. Guess he didn't feel like dealing in action figures anymore.

There are others that I have chased longer but that was one I finally hauled in.

Others on my list are.

Joyride E3 black Masterchief give away

Mego Black Hole Old Bob, Human Slave, Black Star

Dinky Large original Klingon d-7

Why is that Picard $1000?

Don't hunt the figs, I collect Spawn :spawnorb: swag. Understand how it is though. The longest for me was 16 years. Came out in 1992, finally scored it the end of last year. The crazy thing is I'm still looking for things that came out in 92. The Spawn skateboards and snowboards, so whenever I get them it'll been even longer than the hunt for this.

Because there were only 1701 of them made. I found one at TRU for 4.99.

Lucky on the find. I never found a picard at retail but I did find two of the equally hard tashas at target and then several barclays elsewhere. Barclays though had a higher production run because of all the disgruntled collectors writing in to playmates and how they were being stupid making such a super rare chase figure. I think they ran double or triple the amount of barclays.

Star Trek at it's hay day probably had more collectors than any other line of the time, people who normally didn't buy figures were buying playmates line.

1,701 to millions of fans= not good numbers. If I remember right the average star trek figure had a run in the 60-70 thousand range and most flew off the shelf at the time.

Yep, they made 3,000 Barclays. I found one of him too. Never found a Yar, though :(
They also ended up releasing the 3 in a boxed set to try to placate the fans. I have that too.

I ended up trading my extras for the JCpenny red data and a few other high demands at the time. Gosh remember all the turmoil over the variations like that cards or pogs? I think some of them still fetch decent prices.

Yeah I picked up a box set too, gotta have everything right?

Black Mandarin Spawn. Have never seen one around here, even at the toy show.

^^^ I scored a Black Mandy just last month for $50 from the bay. Prices on these kinds of figures (CC Urizen, etc.) are real low right now. Keep an eye out and you might get lucky.

I thought I had! I even have it setup through IM's so I can get notification immediately.

Guaranteed within the next 3 days I'll get a message saying that the auction is up... only a week late. Stupid eBay.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. Punkg42 has been keeping his eyes peeled for me too. He found one a few months ago that was sold out from under me as well.

This is becoming quite the battle.

I finally got the 3" Gold Mandarin Spawn trading figure, to complete my set of series 1 & 2. It came out in 2006. Still plenty more I'm looking for, but I'm pretty patient.

Does chased mean "actively pursuing"? Because I've been wanting the Muppets "Frog Scout Leader Kermit" ever since it came out and I had a couple of chances (hell, there are probably a few on ebay right now that aren't too much), but I never bought it...

If those count, than that one, and a few MLs I guess. (Toad, Submariner & Thor). If not, than I don't think I have any. Maybe a month till the next convention or something, but I wouldn't have searched in the meantime anyway.

I'm kinda lazy, if I think a figure is a ***** to get, I'm not even gonna try ;).

Probably the Grunt, which took me around...6 months...maybe.
Or It might have be the big T-rex from the Jurassic Park 2 toys. I think that took about...9 months maybe. I saved up enough for it with my own money, but then my brother wasn't getting anything, so I felt bad, and instead of buying the T-rex, I bought 2 things for half the price and gave him one. I finally got it at Christmas though. Mom says I carried it around like it was my baby XD (I was very little then)

Been chasing Marvel Legends VI Juggernaut for years now.

At the time he came out I was still stuck at home with no wheels to get me out and able to search for him.

On top of that my parents hated the fact I would go into the store and buy figures so I was looked down on for buying figures until I was able to go out to the post office and start ordering money orders and begin buying online.

By the time I had a chance to buy him he was out of stores and now hes going for a pretty penny on ebay, he's cheaper loose but you hardly ever find him loose.

Anyway I want him but dont want to pay 60 bucks for him.

I wish Toybiz would have done a re-release of him before they lost the license. :(

If anyone has one they'd let go cheaply... I'd most appreciate it. :(

Playmates Ensign Ro.
Spent about 13 years chasing this one. Never found it at retail, and it consistently sold for $20 or more for my first several years of online buying. Picked it up this year from BBTS for $10.

Still looking for Riker, Crusher, Data, and Troi from this Target-exclusive series. Hell, these are almost grails for me. Been 10 years looking for these- they just aren't out there very much.
