Just stopping in to see if anyone is going to the Kane County Toy show in St. Charles, IL. this Sunday. I'll be there with some friends and my family at a booth, come visit. :D

They've updated their place and have a huge indoor area, it's HUGE.. but last fall I didn't even walk around sadly, just once to hit the bathroom, lol.

Think of it as a very HUGE toy convention with hundreds of people trying to buy and sell stuff...

It's about the size of Wizard World conventions but without the companies and extra stuff... Just toys and comics...

It should be fun as long as the weather cooperates. I just want to go to the show also and hang out with some buds and my family. :)

Just got back from setting up and man.. I'm regretting getting the "Swine barn"... lol seriously, that's what it's called...

We went the cheap route and got the outdoor bars with the plastic "tarp" walls and it started monsooning outside, so I just covered everything up and hopefully it'll be a lot better tomorrow.

I used Slappy's Halo and Sports stuff to weigh down my rain tarp, so my stuff should be dry tomorrow, lol

ummm - wow, I LIVE in St. Charles and had no idea this thing existed. Seriously, I'm like 3 minutes from there. LOL

I have plans to go downtown tomorrow around noon for some ultimate frisbee, but I may swing by before that if I can.

Too bad there wasn't more notice - we could have done a boardie meetup.

Ultimate frisbee got rained out, so I swung by and met Manny and the other fellas. Had a good time, there was a nice mixture of old and newer stuff. (By old, I mean antique). The crowd skewed older as well, literally saw a handful of kids.

Manny mentioned there is a show later in the year - October, I think he said, that draws even more people. Now that I know of it, I'll definitely be attending consistently.

Anyway, great to meet you gentlemen. :D

Well just got back from the show and it was a blast. It was great to finally meet great boardies like Joerhyno, Paul Gross and The Riddler. Also got to meet a few of Joerhynos and slappys rebelscum buds who were also very fun to be around.

I'll for sure try my best to make to the next show in Oct. so we should try and get more boardies to go. I'll post the one and only pic I took today later since I'm on my I-pod right now. And again great to meet all you guys. :)

just woke up from my post show nap(got up at 3am to get ready and head out there).. great meeting everyone.. had a blast, sold some of my extra crap just taking up space in my garage...

Next time we'll have to spawnomite our thread and post it ahead of time and bump the hell out of it, maybe set up a boardie dinner or something.

Manny and family were cool, good to finally meet you, Riddler, I was a little disappointed, you didn't come dressed up, but great meeting you, didn't get to talk much, nature was calling... Paul The sports guy, nice meeting you... anyone else I missed...sorry, my bodyu and brain's tired

My haul was an Animated Prime for my son(the big $40 one for $20), a Cowabunga Carl van for my NECA turtles(it'll be customized), a vintage SW Yoda hut and Ewok village, a Blue Elite(thanks manny) and a GI Joe wraith(thanks Slappy)...

I also finally got to give Slappy his Xmas secret Santa present(what, you don't all wait 4 months to give your firends gifts? You should try it, keeps them on their toes), lol... hope you enjoy it and display it proudly!!!

And this is my smaul. Picked up the loose Spider Woman for my daughter, loose Goblin is for me and so is the MOC Spider Woman. The T-Hunt I got in a trade for one of my extra T-Hunts and the Flintstones car is for my TV/Movie cars collection. Soul Caliber I picked up for $10 at the Best Buy video game sale on the way home.
