Dallas police arrested a woman at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki.
Cristal Taylor, 37, was arrested at the home in the 10700 block of Strait Lane, near Royal Lane and Inwood Road, on warrants accusing her of a probation violation and a theft charge, Dallas police said.
CBS 11 News, quoting an unidentified "best friend" of the woman, reported this morning that she and Nowitzki are engaged, and that she is pregnant.
Earlier, CBS 11 quoted anonymous sources as saying that Nowitzki had hired a private investigator to check into the woman's background – and that the investigator learned she was using an alias.
CBS 11 quoted Kim Leach, spokeswoman for the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, as saying the woman has at least eight aliases, including Chrystal Ann Taylor, Crystal Ann Taylor, Debra Johnson, Shana Mancini, Krista Santiago, Crystal Ann Santiago, Cristal Westerhaus and Crista A. Westerhays
The theft of service charge is from Jefferson County, Texas. The probation violation charge is from Missouri, where Taylor was serving a probation sentence for two counts of forgery and one count of felony stealing, authorities said.
The Mavericks and Nowitzki declined to comment.
