Okay, so I thought the new Rorschach figure was actually very nice. I liked the detailing and style it had. But, I didn't really like the face they chose (or that silly "walking" pose they gave him). I think he's got much cooler faces to choose from. Preferably this one.

So, there's my goal. I first boil-popped the head and legs. Then, I painted the head clean white.

Then, I went ahead and painted the face to match the picture I chose.

I apologize for the blurry photos, my usual camera is having issues and, well, I had to use my cell phone.

BUT WAIT!!! You must be wondering why I boil-popped out the legs. Well, as much as I dislike the walking pose (meaning I wanted to fix them), I later found out there was really nothing I could do to fix the stance without rendering his legs immobile. I just don't have the skills.
One day, I'll come back to this and fix the legs.
Thoughts?

You could've used the legs from a TDK joker.
Nice job, though. :)

I was thinking of hollowing out the lower coat and putting some DCSH Clark Kent legs under there, I'm not a fan of the purple pants either. In the movie he wore gray.

Ah yes, I didn't think of hollowing it out. But, I'm a much bigger fan of the comic rather than the movie, and I'd probably either a) find some good pinstripe pants, or most likely b) use any suit legs and paint them purple w/ pinstripe.

The mask it's better, isn't a boiled method of twist the ankles, I remember there is a method of boiled the figure then twist the pose a bit and then put it in cold water.

Looks pretty good...i would have went a step farther and used a thin cloth over the head and painted that to give it "movie texture"...but the the "face" you chose is much better!
frankly, you say you didn't want to make the legs immobile?...can they get anymore immobile to begin with??? haha

While the cloth idea sounds unique and interesting, I really wanted to retain the same exact head shape they gave him, only because it's just perfect. I've only seen one person so far use this method successfully, although he must have practice (since he made half the figure of cloth).

Then if you are a comic fan I beleive he wore purple gloves in that with a purple hat band so that would make a fairly good custom.

His gloves/headband were inconsistent in the comic, actually. They were brown alot too.
In the movie, his pants arent purple. I'm pretty sure they're actully dark brown too..heh.
There's a way to do his mask. Just take a thin cloth and soak it with gray paint(primer) then wrap it around his head. Let it set for a few seconds and pull away. the paint will have risen into the texter of the cloth. Let that completely dry, then paint how you want. If you want a more dramatic texture, mix a little bit of plaster powder into the paint/cloth.

In the making of videos it showed him in gray pants.

ahhh...gray then. He's so grimey in the movie, he looks brown everywhere.
Also, its possible to make his legs move. You just need to attach some hips/legs to the upper torso, and hollow out the bottom portion of the jacket to wrap around it.
