Hello Everyone.

It has been a long time since I posted on the forum, and even when I use to I was a forgettable member. I have not been collecting much these days as life has changed allot....

Anyway, life story over I have begun work on my first "real custom" I did a silent hill nurse once that was ok but this is the big one.

I am making a Nemesis Resident Evil figure. 1 ' tall. I used a Goldberg wrestling figure as the base and then use sculptors clay and wire to make the rest of him. I will use fabric for his little leather "skirt"

MY QUESTION IS... once the clay is completely dry I will paint the figure with acrylics then I want to put something on him that will protect both the clay and paint without ruining him.

Is there a clear and thin gloss like sray out there for this sort of thing?

Thanks!

yes you can use either a matte or gloss acrylic sealer or even spray a coat of polyurethane over it once he's done.

Well he started to chip when he dried.... could have been a disaster so I went a painted him in all kinds of white school glue.

I felt totally let down, thankfully in the morning the glue dried clear and had smoothed out leaving none of the sculpt ruined. Its a good thing I did it to because I can see all kinds of cracks under the glue and can see where it was saved. Second coat is being applied. The paint then clear acrylic.

I think this will be one of those things you just don't touch lol.

you could try mixing the paint with future super glue. then use a old paint brush and brush it over.
