An awesome design for creatures and such

I came across this image and noticed the armature and how it looks like it may slip into the rubber skin of that godzilla figure. It looks pretty amazing how a bunch of ball cups can be used to make a highly poseable skeleton. Anyone know any more info about this design and godzilla? I couldn't make sense of the original site.
