We all know that Jerry is trying to clean up the Cowboys but can his temptation to try and turn around great athletes and get them at a low price or will he continue trying to change the Cowboys image? There's a team out there that's going to eventually sign this guy and something tells me that Jerry will be right there in the mix. It's kind of like his drug.

I hope not but with Jerry Jones in the mix who the heck knows.
He did not draft Randy Moss because he wanted to change the image of the Cowboys then he went nuts with T.O,Packman,Tank Johnson within a few years of each other.I cant gage the old bastard.

We will not get crappy Vick. Trust me. He already said he's not interested, at all several times.
Vick will be a Raider and a bust.
OR
Vick will be a Patroit and win a Superbowl.

Perhaps Vick will be on "4th and long." (season two)

I see Vick as a Viking. Even if the Favre thing goes through it will only be for a year so they need something beyond that. And if Favre doesn't work out this year Vick is a viable option.

I see Vick on probation and making $10.00 an hr. working for a construction company.
Oh wait..

What I keep hearing the Buffalo Bills are the front runners at this point. They've already brought in T.O. and his baggage Vick can't possibly bring that much more. Peta has already said they are done protesting against him as their point has been made and after the first couple weeks the media attention will die down to a minimum. Buffalo while a NY team isn't exactly considered a big market like the Giants or Jets which is where most of the media focus will be.

The Cowboys got to much invested in Romo.

It wouldn't be to replace Romo or any other top QB. Most are saying he is only wild cat or maybe wideout or something. Most analysts are saying he will probably go to the Pats or Aints.

I liked the graphic on ESPN today showing the perception > reality, as far as Romo vs Vick.

I'm not sure what they were trying to get at with that. They were trying to show how he makes plays with his feet like Romo and how good his stats were by comparing him to Romo's but didn't mention that Vick played for twice as many seasons and his stats still weren't even close.

I don't think he'll be on the Cowboys at all, I see him falling into one of the traditionally lower seeded teams.

Whoever signs him ... it won't be for the QB position.

He would probably make a decent waterboy or second string towel boy.

He will try for the QB position but can he do it, well see because he wont sign for much.

After watching the local news here last night, looks like Seattle wouldn't touch the guy.

Yeah, even though we have his old coach there is no way he is coming here.

Maybe he'll suck it up and be a fulltime RB, then have a crazy career and end up the alltime rushing champ! Yeah, that'll stick it to everyone who wouldn't give him a second chance!

You would think Miami would be a ideal fit but would Parcells want the bs that comes along with it

People really think Bill B. would tolerate a "me first" guy like Vick? I cant see him landing on the Patriots at all

The title sounds like Vick is hitting on Jones and he's not sure if he's gonna give up his flower.

Miami wouldn't work because Parcells won't take the risk and they already drafted a new qb/rb/wr to help run the "Wild Hog" or what ever there calling. As for the Cowpies, sorry couldn't resist, but they will. Jones had his moment of weakness in search of a fast lane back to glory. I think he's going to be a little pickier than he was when he signed TO, Tank and Pacman.... but I hope not :p
It's called the wildcat formation and that's the very reason why I thought Jerry would be interested in him. Put him back there on a package of plays with Marion Barber and Felix Jones. Something tells me that Al Davis and Daniel Snyder will be working him out too. All 3 of those guys seem to be guys who are forgiving of reckless behavior.

Jerry is very much about buy low for high potential. He's also been known to buy high on a few as well.
All of which have been busts.
Everyone loves a comeback story. We are all kind of tired of Jerry selling glasses to a blindman salesmanship. And if he buys in on Vick, he's not helping the team image he is trying to go away from.
Let Vick prove himself somewhere else.
You think Vick's got enemies now...let him come to the most hated team in the NFL. That's not a comeback story for anyone and if I were Vick and I got to come back...I'd go as far away from Dallas as humanly possible.

between the media and boards some of the comments made about Vick are just plain crazy. You would think Vicks 40 years old trying to make a comeback after a 20 year stint in prison? He's 28 years old?? Stop with the backup QB/running back/wide reciever talk..HE WILL GET SIGNED AND BE A STARTER AGAIN..plain and simple. OK lets say he isnt as fast..hmm ok so I'll take the 2400+ pasing yards and 20TD/13INT with even only 500 rushing yards he'll produce. Just seems like alot of hating going on for no reason. He'll be like that 3rd draft pick everyone passes on then gets burned everytime they face him. ESPN today.."the game has changed in 2 years since Vick has been in prison" You mean its slowed down..he changed the way teams setup defenses..faster..thinner lineman. I cant wait to see him bring some excitement back into the league.

I don't think he's worth the grief the team would get from the fans and the media. Might as well make O.J. Simpson the coach while you're at it. He's a black eye for the league and they'd be smart to keep him out.

The team that signs Vick will sign him at the NFL Minimum as a backup QB to an inexperienced QB or a quarterback that is on the bubble of success or failure like, I hate to say, Buffalo's Trent Edwards.
Vick is not ready to play, so a two year contract that allows him to get back into football shape would be perfect. If the bubble QB succeeds, you have Vick for one more year of insurance and then you can let him go to some other team that may allow him to compete for the No. 1 job. If bubble QB fails, you have Vick as a fallback plan to see what he has. If he plays well, you still have a second season at the NFL minimum to be sure he is for real and a chance to re-sign him to a longer, better, incentive laden deal.
In this scenario, Dallas is not the team to sign Vick. And I think Vick's biggest hurdle to getting back into the NFL is convincing an owner that he won't make them look as foolish as Arthur Blank looked and felt when the truth about Vick's dog fighting came out (and Goodell too, who he also lied directly to his face).

I dont share your optimism that any team is going to find Vick that hot of a commodity.
His last years before the dogfighting incident showed him declining not moving forward as a QB
2004 11 Wins 4 Losses
2005 8 wins 7 Losses
2006 7 Wins 9 Losses (52.6% completion rating his lowest to date)
You can throw for 2400 yds its all dandy but if you dont have a winning record no one is want you all that bad I doubt specially if you come with 5 tons of baggage like Vick will.
