If Selanne gets a fig made, it won't be too soon. TMP doesn't like making figs of players who are not signed and in a definite location for a while.
And if he's retiring or going back to Europe to play, forget the fig unless for some odd reason, he's put into a Legends line.
But he is nowhere near a legend.

Awwwwwww, feel that inferior that you have to take a shot at a Red Wing?
Feel better, sweetheart?
There are plenty of Legends out there that are not current NHLers... hence "LEGENDS" you tool.

That's all some people can come up with. Say something they do not agree with and they come down on some team/player you like.

Sorry Nemo, how could I forget about you.:o
But to be totally fair, those are petitions for specific players, who happen to be Ducks. Now, if there was a: "whose the official SportsPicks petition starter," I think you'd win in a landslide. :D

Not to the people who really know the game.
Sadly, neither will Ozzie because he's not a flashy player and has been dumped on his whole career.

76 goals in his rookie season say otherwise IMO.
Teemu in his prime was a beautiful thing to see. :)

By no means am I calling Selanne a hack, Scott.
I'm just saying that his status as "legend" really hasn't gotten there yet in my opinion.
Hell, Mogilny had 76 goals that same year and was fun to watch too ... is he a legend?
No, sir!

True, but Mogs never did it as a rookie... I don't see his name on the cup either ;)
In reality, there have been no more than 10ish players that you can truly put "Legend" status on in the last 20 to 25 years... and I can only think of 4 playing today that I'd attach that label to (Lidstrom, Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin).

Actually, he did win the Cup with NJ in 2000.

so is Hasek a legend?
Hmmm let's see...
2 Stanley Cups, 6 Vezinas, 2 Harts, 6 time First Team All-Star, 3 Jennings, 2 Persons and an Olympic gold medal.
No... you're right, Selanne is more deserving.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Oh and before you really show your idiocy and accuse me of just liking him because he was a Red Wing, I hated Hasek.
And about 90% of his accolades were earned BEFORE he was traded to the Wings.

At least I don't think so.
