I'm surprised and not surprised at the same time. It's one of the most rare McF figures of all time. I didn't see it taking that all-things-considered, though especially given the Ruth Superchase final take.

I went to bid and it was sold. But I wouldn't have gone a cent over $23,500

Scanderson was doing it for insurance value purposes, he wasn't going to really sell it. There is a thread all about it on here.

Even more impressive is that's it's a Hockey Figure...I for one didn't even know they had Hockey figures...or if they still played Hockey in the US? Impressive....

How do we know it wasn't a boardie just upping the bid? Has he gotten paid yet?

Scanderson said that it was a legit BIN and the invoice has been sent. The buyer is the guy who bought the Babe Ruth super chase a couple weeks ago.

Well I guess he's rich AND stupid then.If you're rich, does it really matter? If you're worth at least $1 million dollars, then $25,000 is only 2.5% of your total net worth. Rich people are always spending money on things they don't need or just blowing cash for no reason.

If I was rich, a collectable action figure is the last thing I'd drop $25k on. Screw that..

I like the fact that for the same amount of money, you can buy a lot of hot dogs and root beer.

Apparently, the guy that bought it is the same person who paid $13K for the Babe Ruth so it looks to be legit...

How much it cost to grade it anyway? Because there are two more on the bay, with $40 and $50 BIN. Get it, grade it, sell it :D

Did you read the part about the #13 jersey? Pretty sure those two Teemus are not the #13 jerseys.
