so did he work at Stan Winston studios and work on the original suit, or did he just sculpt the cinemaquette?

Yup Steve sculpted CM Predator and the suit in P1.

What makes Steve so cool is that he cares about the projects he is involved in and would rather walk away from it than making a butchered movie.

He pretty much defined the predator we know and love in the first movie, his style is all over it.

He's currently working on Iron Man 2.
I asked him if he can give us a tour of his studio but he said he doesn't have one. He works where they want him to work and that Paramount is being tight lipped about the project. He said some movies he worked on allows visitors but not Iron Man 2.
How much was that Predator statue? That looks sweet.

I'm pretty much done with action figures. Those days are over as statue is the new thing for me. I got tire of buying and selling action figures.
The size and details of this statue just blows anything that I have in my collection. Pics does not describe how real it looks in person.

You know whats sad, is that you can see the huge differance between SS product and this one. I am starting to get the feeling that we are seriously overpaying for SS product. After getting my Conan statue and comparing to a $12 figure and seeing a huge quality differance, I think I am going to start passing on more SS items until the sculpts improve.
This statue alone is Better then anything SS has produced Predator wise,it is a bit pricey, but to me it is a definitive piece and well worth the cash. I couldn't guarantee that it would be last predator piece I bought (I still want the Celtic and Pred 1 Prop Replica mask) but I assure you I would most likely get rid of my TMP figs and NECA figs.

I agreed with you. SS has not done it for me either. Their paint and sculpt quality does not qualify to me as high end statue. Don't get me wrong, the Marvel stuff is great. I have had numerous TMP and NECA figures in 6-12 inches. It came down to deciding that I would be happy with just one piece that blows everything that were created by TMP, NECA or HT.

see but that is where I "Fail" :p, in that I will own the HT Pred 1 along with this statue. And if someone ever makes the Pred 1 Guantlet.
I don't own to many PF SS statues, I stick with proffesional sculptors like Jerry M. and Mr.Wang. Even Jerry Statues blows away SS PF stuff and the price is reasonable.

I still have all my HT Predator (P2 BD, Elder and Lost) and P1 on order. I was waiting to see if I should keep them.

I've said for years that Sideshow is overpriced and that started back before they started getting more popular and jacking up the prices.

Last year at SDCC, I was thinking I would not shell out much for CM Predator nor have I ever spent that much. It's way beyond my limit. After getting my first CM T800 statue 2 months ago, it changed my whole perspectives on collecting. I realized that I need to get rid of all the little action figures that's taking too much space. I wanted to simplify my collection and give it an upgrade. So I sold most of my figures and I used the $$$ for this masterpiece.
