You guys know me by now. I don't toss the term "grail" like a Hot Wheels toy found on a peg somwhere. Hell, I think this might be my first actual grail haul in a long, long time. Two items I thought I'd never have the money to buy or the prices at which they bought at!
1/48 Yamato USA Macross Armor Parts (only $65.00, online prices range from $90-$200.00)

Wal-Mart MP Starscream with Corrination Set ($95.00 total) - the reason why this is a grail is because I never thought I'd actually spend the money on a repaint of something that I already own, and I didn't want the Corrination set for the MP-04 Starscream aka "Greenscream".

Bot con was fun but a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I knew it wouldn't be the scale of say AnimeExpo, but I thought it would be bigger. Deciding what to buy was really tough. I came across a vendor who was selling pretty much all of the exclusive HALO 3 figures from all past and present series for $20.00 a pop. Could have done some damage there. Also found another vendor selling Revoltech's @ $10.00 a pop too, I just wouldn't have the room for them all.

Thank you everyone. It feels nice to be able to spend some money every once in a while. Been too busy savin money for a home so...
giantHYPE: It's a great figure, but in terms of quality and detail, the original release is still better. This figure feels more flimsy and the paint application isn't quite as clean as I hoped it would be. Otherwise, I would have picked this up if I didn't score the crown set and this figure for so cheap.
I just heard Wal-Mart is releasing MP Skywarp this year.

Can't go wrong with huge robots!
Hmm perhaps I should also get that Starscream, it IS cartoon accurate... But the "Greenscream" I have now is also fine, it never really bothered me.

Great haul. I think I found my new set of toys to collect: Revoltech. Got Starscream for $15(different vendor) and EVA for $10 (the vendor you were talking about). I should have also bought the $5 Revoltech's they were selling.
I waited till about 3:45 pm on Sunday to make my purchases so I can get the best deals but most vendors weren't budging.
Just in case you haven't seen my BotCon report, here it's, with plenty of pictures :):

Sure was, Saturday until 2pm. Unfortunately I missed out on getting David Kaye to leave my wife a voicemail message using BW's Megatron's voice. So I tried again at the signing but found out I either had to have a pre-reg pass or pay $25.00. I was pretty much spent at that point so we called it quits.
So is this a date?

I wouldn't call it a date:p hahaha! But tacos on me when you're in town.
I still thank you for hooking me up with that extra anime statue.:D
That wouldve been awesome if Dave hooked up that voicemail. I was there on Sunday for about an hour or so. I bought Stan Bush's CD and got an autograph. That was about it. BTW, the cd was....eeerrr......not all that great.

I saw the Stan Bush booth in the front left corner - no Stan to be found but there was a gal watching the booth, hawking t-shirts and CD's. They kept replaying the classic "The Touch" version and she looked like she wanted to hang herself. Can't say I blame her. It's a fun song the first time you listen to it, after the next five hundred times you'll have a different opinion.
Ugh, saw the new Touch video - just horrible.

Hahaha! They even had The Touch song on the Guitar Hero display. (I'll admit though, the TF XBox game looks awesome).
Stay in touch bro.:D

It's made of pretty cheap nylon. Mine's been on for about a year and a half and the folds are still there

Oh well, I'm considering crafting a new cape anyways. Maybe something with some trim? If so I'll post the results.
