I like the college football figures coming out soon, however none interest me as a Seminoles fan. Any information on upcoming college figures at all? I would assume there is another line up in the works. Who can we expect?

But it's not going to happen, I just can't see them making a new pose just to use in a college line.

perhaps, but just like Yankees and Maple Leafs, Seminoles sell, and they'll make any peice of cr@p if it will sell

with all due respect, that list is horrible. Besides Deion, those figures wouldn't even sell to their own mothers.

I think the 89 draft would be cool
Aikman, Deion Sanders, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, Tony Mandarich just kidding, Andre Rison, Steve At****er just added why doesn't it let me type that, that hit he put on Okoye was brutal

Heck,

Deion Sanders
Derrick Brooks
Anquan Boldin

would all be good sellers

L. Coles
Leon Washington
Antonio Cromartie

would be a lot better selection than Jamarcus Russell

The greatest travesty of all to not have a figure made is Warrick Dunn. This guy has been a great running back for years and a model citzen for the NFL but Todd like to only make figures of criminals in the NFL...notably

B, Marshall
R. Lewis
T.O.
Plaxico Burress

hell, I will not be surprised if we don't see a O. J. Simpson in USC uniform...

It is probably cheaper since they all ready have their rights through the NFLPA. However, every other sports collectible company that does college products have produced items with retired players so it is possible. McFarlane should look to add retired players that they plan doing a legends figure of to the college line as well. The line will be very successful if they let it.

Favre & Moss all ready have college sports figures and Warner approved of his figure before the line was canceled.

As long as they have the contract, I'm sure we will start seeing some USC players. Bush, Leinart, Palmer, Polamalu, etc.

I'm saying TMP won't produce them because they are obscure or small conference schools, Not because of the quality of player.

Yep, that is likely true. They seem to unnecessarily be handling this line with kid gloves.

If I were in charge (good thing i"m not) I would probably look at it the same way. Who wants a Football figure of a player from Eastern Illinois except the 30 fans for that school and a few of the fans of that player?

The Favre and Moss were very hot pieces when they were released. They were the first pieces off the shelf and commanded 2-3x times retail on the secondary market.

Who made the Favre and Moss figs? I think a McFarlane Moss at Marshall would be cool. He should have been at FSU though.

Starting Lineup, both were made in 1999 with Moss in the College Football series and it came with a miniature Marshall pennant. The Favre was a Classic Double that was a Wal-Mart exclusive.

Sports collectibles have never been that reliant on team selection They have been reliant on rookies, potential, and stars. Yes, Mickey Mantle's collectibility is a lot more because he was a Yankee, but rookies and stars in general have been what traditionally drive sports collectibles and market size was a second consideration. What has been more driven by market are sports items like jerseys, posters, and other similar items. Moss had his rookie sports figures in 99 and they were some of the most popular sports collectibles of the year. Favre was all ready considered a future hall of famer and a big star so his items flew off the shelf. There was all ready a huge collector base so that of course helped them. The Favre Classic Double was very hard to find while the counterpart Jim Harbaugh in a Michigan uniform, a big football school, rotted on the shelves until they went on clearance.
