I'm heading to Detroit (via Windsor) and Saginaw in a few weeks (back through Port Huron/Sarnia), anyone know of places to get McFarlanes (NHL) along the way? Been to the place at Great Lakes, as well as the little shop at Birchwood Mall in Port Huron, any others? Outside of Detroit? Flint? Saginaw? Birch Run? Windsor? Sarnia?

Michigan use to be a great place to hunt Sports Picks when Meijer still carried the line.

There are tons of Toys R Us stores (Southfield, Roseville, Utica, Madison Heights, etc). Most of those have a good supply most of the time.
Other than that, there's not much. Target and Meijer stores don't carry them any more. I refuse to step foot in a Wal-Mart, so I can't speak for them.

All of the hobby stores that I use to know of in Michigan have closed and some of the sports collectors shows that use to be huge are no longer around.

I'll check out the TRUs. Any other suggestions at all?

Wal-Mart is pretty poor. Your best bet is TRU...it's pretty much the only place around here.

TRU is pretty much the only retailer left that I have seen them at anymore, and most of the ones that are near me (Flint, Saginaw etc) really dont have much of a selection. mainly one case of each series is all the carry, two if your lucky!
A few card shops also carry them, but then again you will be paying more for those unless you find the one shop that is clearing them out.

If Gibralter Trade Center (flea market sort of place) in Mt Clemens has a sports card show it can be worth it for some deals. Then again you have to go to Gibralter, which can be an adventure to itself.
If they don't have a show don't bother though because anyone who sells toys there as regular vendors price gouge.
Time Travelers in Berkeley has an assortment of some older figures (not a ton of newer stuff or really rare stuff though). Its a fun shop to go through though because they have ton of random stuff (prices are all over the map... some deals, some overcharging).
Outside of that it is as hit or miss as most anywhere else.

Sadly, that's the truth. Used to be a dozen places to look. That was my Saturday morning entertainment. They all stopped carrying them or went out of business.

Good one.
I will check out TRU, but I'm looking for little collectible shops and card shops that may have some older figs I might need. Sounds like they don't exist. TRU will likely only have what I already got. Thanks for the help guys.
