I'm not dissing your collection cause it's very awesome - but we just watched Hellboy 2 a couple of weeks ago. It very well may have been one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.

My wife and I enjoyed the first one well enough (It didn't blow me away, but it entertained) but the second one was a joke. Only thing that kept us watching the whole thing through was to make fun of it as it went on.

I like the movies but I'll be the first to admit they are far from great. The character design from the movies, on the other hand, IS great!!! I am a HUGE fan of the comics and was well before the release of the first movie. The best thing that has come from the movies has been the added exposure for Hellboy. Alot of people had no clue of the existance of HB prior to the motion pictures :cool:

It really is disappoiniting, especially considering how strong the sculpts and paint jobs are on these figures. I still keep hope alive that some new life will be brought to this line even though the chances are slim to none :o

Mezco as a whole has just gone downhill. That Comic series was pretty much the end of all their great figures (Hellboy Comic/Movie, The Goon, Popeye, Family Guy, South Park). They just aren't being aggressive on licenses. I agree about the direction the company has turned, far too many "tooned" products. I think the HB2 figures are solid for the most part. Some of the sculpts are rather weak (Nuala and Nuada come to mind) and some of the paint apps are sloppy (Nuala again) or flat (Goblin). There are some great figures between the 2 series though (Wink, Johann, and the cigar variant Hellboy). Maybe one day we'll get some more Hellboy comic stuff and maybe more Goon with the upcoming movie :cool:

It wouldn't have been that big of an issue if the tooth didn't chip. The cigar will still stay in place (as seen in the first pic) and I'll add some epoxy to help it stay. The big problem is that damn tooth :spawnskul

Also got some more risers and stands in. Now the slackjaws are standing with the rest of the Goon stuff. Also put Shrek on a couple risers (looks much better now IMO) :cool:
