If they can get NFL cast-offs that's def a start. If they can attract guys who would be 2nd string even in the NFL that's good too

They have some big name coaches Green, Haslet, Fassel, Cotrell. That's a start.

I may check out a game in Vegas. Give JP Losman something to do.

it'll fold just like the XFL...you cannot compete with the big boys

If it worked out like the minor leagues in MLB then I think it would work out alot more.

I don't think it's going anywhere.

For the NFL to have someone willing to shell out the starter money for a developmental league, then it's only good news for them.

They don't want to be the NFL. They want to be NFL Europe, with 2nd string and practice squad players fighting to make it back onto an NFL team.

This is where Vick will be playing. There's a reason why squads aren't being filled in the UFL. They are waiting for the 1st round of cuts.

This is going to be a very good thing, for NFL fans and for fans of just plain football.

The one advantage they have over NFL Europe would be much cheaper opperating costs being stateside. If done right I think it could work out well. Too many west coast teams right now, but I think Hartford is a interesting choice and could potentially lead to other major league franchises.

If the play on the field is good it'll stick around. Otherwise it's NFL E again.

Yeah, if it turned into that it would be great... otherwise it will last maybe 2 seasons as best.

While thats important its success will more or less be more tied to if they can sell it to the networks.

Too bad one bad first season is all it takes to send network execs running.
